Well, Eva thread is on 103d one now.
>>3106885
Eva is also much older and much more popular.
>>3106885
yandere zaShunina is the best zaShunina.
>>3106887
His last ep smiles were creepy af.
Now that I look at it, a lot of the stuff I have has already been posted wew. Sorry about that.
>>3106886
It's also much shittier than Kado.
>>3106892
GOD DAMN IT WHY DID YOU HAVE TO REPOST THAT
>>3106891
I think I have some other stuff though.
>>3106894
What do you mean why, it's a perfectly legit Kado fanart.
>>3106892
DELETE this now!
Why did you feel the need to repost it here, dammit?!
>>3106897
>Why does this exist?
Anon is a wicked being.
>>3106897
>>3106901
Now, now. Just because I enjoy triggering anon with satanic pictures, that doesn't mean I'm a wicked being.
>>3106905
Nice pose.
>>3106882
I just noticed he's wearing a tie incorrectly.
>>3106907
That autism level is so moe.
>sleeping
Good stuff, anon. Where do you find all these?
>>3106925
Mostly weibo and the later ones twitter.
The sequel to this >>3105861
>>3106928
Damn, detachable limbs are so useful. I'm jealous.
Some official stuff.
>>3106932
What the fuck, I know japan can be autistic with western typo sometimes, but this is too much.
It looks like something between a vintage cape shit comic book and an advertisement for a circus.
>>3106932
Why almost all the official stuff the manga and the spinoffs all look like shit? I can't comprehend this.
Might be pushing the blue board's boundaries with this one, but...
>>3106949
I'm imagining sex between them to be completely different.
>>3106951
I'm sure it would be, but as with books, he'd probably want to try it the "proper" way at least once.
>>3106951
Like what? Some kind of mind-connection maybe?
>>3106897
>Is he holding an in-universe doujinshi?
That's his spin-off manga. He appreciates the PR.
>>3106954
Probably. zaShunina's "human" body is made from the same stuff as Kado and he clearly isn't the touchy-feely type.
>>3106907
Shindo let him pose for a photoshoot like that?
>>3107059
>>3107062
Awesome.
He's got extra hands now.
>>3107080
I wonder if we'll get to see the full extent of zaShunina's power
>>3107172
Thanks a bunch. Looked like a twitter filename out of the corner of my eye.
>>3107173
Lofter file names are superlong gibberish.
I usually shorten them, but yeah they kinda look like twitter names.
>>3107140
It's interesting to consider what his full power even is. He doesn't flaunt his abilities, but it's pretty obvious he's negotiating only for the sake of humanity. If he actually wanted to force something on us, nobody could stop him.
>>3106890
He is back to cute again.
>>3107211
How can he be so cute? Is that from the preview? What's the context here?
>>3107212
It's from the episode 7 preview, yeah.
>>3107211
Why is he so perfect?
>>3107211
That face seems so weird. I never thought he could make such face when I first saw him in the show. It's cute but I still can't fully wrap my mind around this.
>>3107257
Looks too human for him.
>>3107257
His expressiveness has expanded since the first contact, especially when he's with his "premium human". Besides, zaShunina learned the concept of human language in a minute; he's an extremely fast learner. He doesn't feel the same things, but his analysis and perception can be impeccable.
Can anyone translate?
>>3107291
No because I hate this fucking art style.
>>3107292
There's only a few artists who draw from this, anon, there's no need to be rude.
>>3107291
zaShunina: Shindo. When was the last time you slept?
Shindo: (Don't tell me...!?)
Asano: You didn't sleep last night either, did you? I sure envy you your energy... (Guess I'm not twenty anymore)
Shindo: (grin) Well, I suppose I'm still young...
Asano: We're the same age, you ass!
Shindo: And I was so smug about it, too!
zaShunina: Mankind will no longer... Shindo.
zaShunina: Pay attention.

Pretty sure he has a penis.
And everyone on that plane has seen it.
>>3107425
He doesn't in the manga, but it's shit anyway and thus irrelevant.
>>3107436
Well they obviously wouldn't draw it, but I'm sure he included one when he created the body. He did get the template from Shindo after all. Why not be anatomically correct?
>>3107438
He's not made of meat and he most likely doesn't have most (if any) bodily functions. For example, his VA mentioned that zaShunina doesn't breathe out where a human would, which is one of the reasons why his speech sounds so artificial.
Excuse the girls, but zaShunina's face here is comedy gold.

>>3107556
Yes, it's just easier to shine the spotlight on Hanamori's suffering.
>>3107558
It's not like he can't keep himself together in one piece at all. He just prefers not to.
>>3107554
>Hanamori
wew he really is irrelevant. At least he's good for memes.
>>3107564
Judging by the recap focus, the order of importance goes: zaShunina>Shindo>>Tsukai>>Shinawa>>Asano>Hanamori>>>Natsume.
The episode 7 preview synopsis is up.
>As the world reeled from the Wam production going public, Shindo Kojiro embarked on the plan to move Kado, which had been occupying the Haneda International Airport. Thanks to the organized efforts, the move went smoothly and Kado has been relocated safely.

>>3107861
Damn there's some good shit in here.
Someone please summarize.
>>3107861
>4Gamer: Yaha-kui zaShunina, the anisotropic, what kind of a person is he?
>Noguchi (producer): That's the thing - he is not really a "person", he is a being from outside of the known space. He's only imitating a human, but he himself is something else entirely. And since he's unfamiliar with human conduct, watching him communicate, learn things such as a handshake, and study human culture is one of the interesting points of the show, I think.
>He also provides a curious perspective. Just like being Japanese can make you ignorant of what Japan is really like, zaShunina's alien view gives us humans a different look at ourselves... Here I'll digress a bit, but there's a member of our anime staff who keeps pet ants. If we compare zaShunina to a human, mankind is pretty much like ants to him. His perspective is that much more advanced and remote.
>4Gamers: He's watching us through a god's eyes, then?
>Noguchi: Indeed. If you pour some water on an ant nest, the ants will freak out and start running all the over the place. I think that's what mankind looked like to zaShunina after he gave them the Wam. He sees we move in some way, so he digs a new hole and watches. (laugh)
Shindo confirmed for a premium ant.
>>3107885
>4Gamer: Feels like we're made to dance on a god's palm, doesn't it. (laugh) But there is a conversation between Shindo and his mother in episode 6 where they brought up that "it'd be lonely if it were all by itself" and alluded to Yaha-kui zaShunina's more humane aspects. Should we expect zaShunina to feel closer to humanity now?
>Noguchi: Yes. Notice how communicating with Shindo softens him and in the process he learns more about what humans are like. Will his viewpoint change to a more empathetic one, or will he remain an observer watching the ants scurry about? This is actually a very important part of the story to come. The lines in episode 6 are a foreshadowing and the key of sorts.
>4Gamer: By episode 6, zaShunina has given mankind the Wam and stated that humanity will no longer need to sleep. He is changing people's lives dramatically, but what is his real motive?
>Noguchi: With the Wam he solved our energy problem; with the "no need to sleep" thing he is addressing our labor problems. The running theme of the show is "keep thinking and considering", so he keeps presenting questions for mankind to consider. The answers will always differ depending on the individual, so while people abroad might react to sleep revolution with "Great! Now I'm gonna have more free time!", the Japanese may take it as "Great, now I have to work more'. Nowadays people decry how little time they have, not to mention they are being squeezed dry by the corporations that employ them, so many wish the power to decide their lives was returned back to the individual level. (...) People's values are influenced by their way of living and rhythm, so I'd say he is inviting people with all these different values to reevaluate what "right" means to them.
>>3107918
>4Gamer: So Yaha-kui zaShunina's "find the right answer" call is not meant only for mankind as a whole, but also for every individual?
>Noguchi: Yes. He is inviting everybody to think, to consider various problems, and then find the right answer. The show itself is heading towards its own "right answer", but whether it really was the right thing to do will differ depending on each viewer.
>4Gamer: Aside from Yaha-kui zaShunina, who is personally your favorite character?
>Noguchi: Asano.
>4Gamer: Shindo's friend Asano Shuuhei, then. That's a rather surprising choice.
>Noguchi: Asano's perspective is probably the most objective in this series of events. Yaha-kui zaShunina and Shindo are the interested party, while the public are the victims. Asano is close to the interested party, but he's not part of it and he observes from the outside.
>4Gamer: Episode 6.5 has just aired, so what should we look forward to in episode 7?
>Noguchi: Expect more objects like the Wam. Mankind will start receiving more questions even faster and the human side will have to give their answers to that.
>4Gamer: So there is more to deal with. The sleep revolution itself is a big upheaval, no?
>Noguchi: Yaha-kui zaShunina thinks humanity is still lacking some things and he is ready to give them. What he is doing is essentially compressing human technological and societal progress on a very drastic timescale. He is compressing things that would take 100 years into a single year and letting mankind experience that.
I'd say this interview debunks all the enslavement and invasion theories, at least.

>>3110616

>>3110632

>>3110632
He's the main character and the face of the show. He'll be just fine.
>>3110616
>I can't help but feel bad for zaShunina.
why? he seems, if not evil, then completely alien to our ideas of morals/ethics.
>"I see I've shocked you with too much information, and that you won't become by husbando. Ok, time to kill you and seduce your clone with no recent memories instead."
>>3110722
Not only that, but he decides to probably erase him from existence after dropping a BSOD info dump on him after essentially stranding him for 3 days.
That said, multidimensional Jesus still a cute.
>>3110739
He's still an alien 40D god. He only grew enough feelings to become a yandere.
>>3110740
>>3110722
To be fair, he only wanted his husbando. And since he's all about information, he doesn't really distinguish between "real" and "fake".
IMO zaShunina probably doesn't understand the concept of death the way humans do. He likely sees the current Shindo as simply being a few extra hours of undesirable information, and considers the "existence" of Shindo important, rather than that single strand of consciousness. He likely cannot understand the implications of the fact he's attempting murder - in his mind, he's just deleting some data, and Shindo is still there and fine. And most importantly, the rolled back Shindo wouldn't possess the memory of him dropping his spaghetti. It's actually really disturbing to think about it. "I want you to disappear" just delivered to casually...
Or I'm wrong, and he fully understands death and murder, and just doesn't care. And it makes me
wonder if he's done this before.
The awkward pause about the tunnel/transformation was a huge give away something bad would happen. zaShunina seemed sad/guilty - maybe that was when he made the copy.
>>3110745
>He likely sees the current Shindo as simply being a few extra hours of undesirable information, and considers the "existence" of Shindo important, rather than that single strand of consciousness.
Pretty much. zaShunina is a huge information processor; life means information to him. As long as the main information cluster remains, the object is alive.
>>3110745
The best comparison you can make is VN players who reload when they mess up. They still care for their waifu/husbando, but s/he still just data to them.
>>3110748
In this case, it's complicated by the fact that everything is "just" data to him. It's simply the way he perceives the world.
Wasn't really expecting a homo ending anyways but still sad to see all possibility of it crumble.
Oh well, space god still a cute.
>>3110868
I don't mind the nonhomo possibility. I'm just glad we got a cool SF story.
Made me watch Arrival.
>>3110868
>still sad to see all possibility of it crumble.
This is still up for debate. A negotiation and understanding end is still on the table.
>>3110868
There's still three episodes left.
A lot can happen in three episodes.
>>3110868
I don't get why you suddenly say it's impossible now. If anything I think it's now more possible than ever. Are you just circlejerking or something?
I made some shitty OC in light of the most recent episode, but it's kind of gory so I don't know if that would be breaking the 'no guro' rule.
>>3110876
>>3110883
Well I just don't feel like attempted murder coupled with a reminder that Zashunina is a very alien being that doesn't operates on our morality and also is more or less a god bodes well for the possibility of romance.
I'd be neat to be wrong on this I guess, but I prefer to temper my expectations.
>>3110889
Forgot to say, I'm happy that the show openly admitted that Hanamori has feelings for Shindo.
>>3110889
From his point of view it's not an attempted murder but merely a reset to 70 hours earlier, you shouldn't judge him from human point of view.
I think the way they stressed just how much he changed in such a short period of time and why that happened is very important.
The next episode is about their final stage of negotiation, and also Shindo didn't even say no, he just had no time to answer.
I always kept my expectations as low as possible and from the start didn't expect anything more than awkward autistic alien behavior. But the show somehow always managed to exceed my expectations every week. Now that it basically turned full homo^2, I think it passed the point of no return. Any het end would feel horribly out of place at this point.
>From his point of view it's not an attempted murder but merely a reset to 70 hours earlier, you shouldn't judge him from human point of view.
Yeah, zaShunina sees things in terms of information/data - he probably viewed it as deleting a bit of unwanted data and rolling back to a earlier save copy. I don't think he truly understands the way humans view consciousness/death/etc... To him, all Shindo's are Shindo. But to Shindo, he's about to be killed and a clone is taking his place.
>I think the way they stressed just how much he changed in such a short period of time and why that happened is very important.
That alien view, plus his newfound human emotions, made him act erratically and impusively. The alcohol could have done it too. The depressed/wistful look on his face when he asks Shindo to come with him really shows...
>The next episode is about their final stage of negotiation, and also Shindo didn't even say no, he just had no time to answer.
Yeah, I'm still holding out for a bittersweet negotiation ending. I doubt Shindo will go with him, but maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised. I think Shindo was too tired/shell-shocked to answer, and zaShunina decided he'd dropped his spaghetti too hard and didn't like how it went.
Or maybe we're wrong, and zaShunina knows fully well that killing and replacing Shindo was immoral, and simply doesn't care. That worries me.
I'm still trying to be optimistic, but I have a feeling the ending isn't going to be the happiness we desired.
>>3111031
Let's believe the optimistic promo art for now.
>>3110899
>From his point of view it's not an attempted murder but merely a reset to 70 hours earlier, you shouldn't judge him from human point of view.
That's what I was talking about when I mentioned that he operates outside of our understanding of morality. He is an alien being and developing some undesrstanding of human emotions didn't really change that.
>>3110899
The delusion is strong in this one.
>>3111055
(You)r interesting post really made me change my mind.
Now say, are you also one of those that think he's "evil" (whatever that's supposed to mean) now?
eh, why argue now? nobody is right or wrong until the series concludes
>>3111063
Im not the anon you're talking with, but wouldn't it be fair to say that, by the moral standarts of the human race, Zashunina is evil? Just because his latest actions aren't a bad thing from the point of view of his culture/species/state of being doesn't means that they should be acceptable to us.
Though I do hope for a peaceful resolution, maybe Shindo can talk sense into Zashunina now that Tsukai's there to protect him from disintegration.
>>3111113
>Just because his latest actions aren't a bad thing from the point of view of his culture/species/state of being doesn't means that they should be acceptable to us.
I think the point here is that "evil" and "morality" are relative. That's common in a lot of stories in this vein.
>>3111113
zaShunina is still trying to do the best for both humanity and the anisotropic, so no. The Shindo save states are much more questionable, but considering that from his perspective nothing is actually lost (objectively, Shindo as a person and information cluster would continue to exist), things get kind of messy. zaShunina literally sees a different picture than we do.
>>3111063
Oh, no. I agree with you about evil being relative and zaShunina should not be considered a bad guy. He's not doing anything with intention to harm.
Where your delusion comes in is the part about a het end being out of place. They've been hitting every 'they're getting together' troupe in the book for Shindo and Tsukai, from 'No, dad, we're not a couple!' to 'Go for it, girl!', it would actually be genuinely surprising if they didn't hook up.
At least post pics while you argue.

yanShunina is a thing of beauty.
>>3111176
zaShunina can turn off fregonics at will.
Meanwhile, in the official art. My yandere alien can't be this moe.
I love how almost instantly after the episode aired, nearly all of the zaShunina art went from fluffy and moe to twisted and yandere.
I love this development.
I'm generally in agreement with the sentiment that zaShunina views killing Shindo and restarting with the clone as just rolling back a save point.
However, I'm getting hung up on the "I'm going to start over with him. And
I want you to disappear part." That seems awfully like zaShunina fully understanding the two Shindo's are separate, at least somewhat, and that he's eliminating the consciousness he's been interacting with so far.
I'm not sure how I feel about that.
He KNOWS he's killing *a* Shindo, he's differentiating between the two of them. It's far more complex than him just deleting a few unwanted hours.
>>3111198
It probably doesn't seem like such a big deal to him. Consider this: in order to simply communicate with humans, zaShunina locked himself into a much more limited form, left his body and mind completely open to a myriad of new and potentially dangerous stimuli, and had to restructure his very way of thinking. In comparison, if "a' Shindo continues to exist pretty much the same he's always been, then nothing is truly lost or changed. If you don't subscribe to the notion that every conscious thought is precious, then it becomes kind of hard to pinpoint where the harm is.
>>3111198
zaShunina has the understanding that multiple, and theoretically infinite amounts of someone can exist parallel to another. He probably just sees this Shindo has one that has lost the drive to achieve zaShunina primary goal, obtaining and pursuing information.
A good analogy would be a sprouting branch that's growing in undesired direction. Naturally he would cut it back move it in a better direction, even if he does lose a couple of hours of progress.
>>3111217
That too. A single "self" becomes considerably less important if you see the object existing almost fractally. As he said, "what you think of as everything is merely a single cross-section of a greater individual". I'm guessing he perceives an individual more like a cloud of information layers rather than a sharply delineated person.
>>3111217
>He probably just sees this Shindo has one that has lost the drive to achieve zaShunina primary goal, obtaining and pursuing information.
I don't think this is why he decided to kill Shindo at all. It was over personal desires, not the uplifting, and frustration over his own mistakes/how things went.
>>3111316
Considering the weight of what he'd said, his anxiety and frustration are surprisingly understandable. He'd just revealed his species, the way his very existence works, his feelings, and made an unprecedented offer to a member of the species who should be like mice to him. He was willing to give the key to the universe and himself to a much lower creature, making himself vulnerable in the process. It was a huge risk.
Detachable hands seem like fun.
>>3111395
I wouldn't be surprised if someone mistook that for Kawoshin for... reasons.
>>3111179
i want to inject my data packets into this anisotropic being
>>3111414
>implying your puny data packets can satisfy his 41D needs

>>3111435
Nah, I feel after the initial sad/wistful request, he becomes jarringly cold and kind of freaky. The "too soon" and explanation of the clone and "I want you to dissapear" were honestly disturbing.
It's like he's already written off the existing Shindo, and views murdering him as some sort of clinicalrrmoval of an unwanted growth. He's not sad, because he gets to try again and do better with another Shindo.
>>3111446
Darkest timeline.
>>3111446
Then why is he so sad?
>>3111451
because he failed the social link and has to reload an old save file
... I guess he's disappointed Shindo didn't understand him, hence the blunt "disappear"
>>3111455
>>3111446
The most discouraging part was that it all is just a giant misunderstanding. Shindo didn't say yes or no, he was just exhausted from the 70h isolation. And zaShunina didn't even give him like a couple of minutes to consider such incredibly important offer and immediately assumed it was a rejection. What a self-conscious alien indeed.
>>3111459
>Shindo and zaShunina will never have a friendly relationship again.
It hurts.
>>3111461
Never say never. You know, strong relationships without problems don't exist. I think they'll sort that out (assuming Shindo isn't killed next ep).
>>3111459
>And zaShunina didn't even give him like a couple of minutes to consider such incredibly important offer and immediately assumed it was a rejection. What a self-conscious alien indeed.
>the qt anisotropic alien, still new to human emotions, becomes flustered over the spilling of his metaphysical noodles and decides his best option is to delete his current save out of embarrassment
If it wasn't so horrible it'd be cute and funny

>saving the inferior version
>accepting your death
I can't believe the anime no one is watching this season is the one with two canon homos, one of which actually stands a good chance of winning the MCbowl.
Fujos should be eating this shit up. What gives?

I feel bad about liking this image so much.

Well, considering we see Shindo lying in a pool of blood, something like it is possible.
While zaShunina's emotions/morals/ethics/perception of certain concepts are certainly messy, I could very well see Shindo doing or saying something in this situation that could make him BSOD or feel instant regret.
Hurry up and scan it properly Nat.

>Maybe it ended up being morally more difficult for him than he originally planned.
I think so.
He wants Shindo to "disappear" - and his kind view everything as data. Remember how fascinated he was by just poking some bread? The physical world and everything in it are things he's just coming to understand.
The emotional reasoning/regrets aside, I'm getting the feeling he doesn't understand the idea of suffering, death, or pain yet - anything of the sort. He probably understands the concept in terms of 1's and 0's, but I could imagine him not really being prepared for how messy killing somebody with a giant laser sword or whatever is. Especially if they don't die instantly. Now throw in the fact that he "loves" the individual he's done it too, and any potential dialogue that may occur during/after, and you could get a very upset anisotropic alien.
I'm legitimately surprised they didn't no-homo the marriage proposal. They straight-up said that it was a confession of love and that zaShunina asked Shindo to walk the same path of life together.
Ballzy.

Frankly, I started watching it because the synopsis seemed intriguing and original, I didn't even know the characters or anything let alone expect some kind of homo. When by ep 2 I saw all the main characters I figured it would have some kind of pandering or cute interactions, no more (or so I thought).
But then week after week, it managed to exceed my expectations in every way: story and homo wise it kept amusing me.
I can honestly say I didn't truly enjoy a show like that for a long time.
Fujo (and not only) series should really step up their game and stop making stupid, no-brainer shit.
If you look closely, you can see the exact frame his gay little fractal heart shatters into a million pieces.

>Both of the male members of his harem
You know, I can't help but wonder at this point (since he never responded at all to Tsukai's behavior) if Shindo himself isn't gay.
>>3111691
There's also the fact that his whole species are creator gods that usually think and operate on an universal scale. I recall the producer mentioning that seeing people as individuals (as opposed to mankind as a whole) doesn't come naturally to zaShunina, presumably because the scale is just too small compared to how his mind normally works. Shindo quickly became an exception to this rule, but it's not surprising that he wouldn't think much of a few extra hours of data if his normal reference points are galaxy-sized.
>>3111702
Doubt it. Seems not interested in relationships and fully devoted to his work.
>>3111702
Judging by Natsume and Asano's comments, it seems he's just sapiosexual. The bigger and more complex mind, the more attractive it is for him. It explains why he took to zaShunina so quickly, to the point it disturbed people around him: Shindo is curious, somewhat odd, and always interested to see different perspectives, so zaShunina's immense, eccentric brain must be like a bottomless well of stimulation. Nothing is ever mundane with him.
>>3111702
Who said he's married to his job? Seems accurate.

>zaShunina: Hanamori, do you want some?
>Hanamori: No, I'm good!
>Tsukai: And now he's solved the lemon on fried food problem as well!
That fiend, breaking natural laws left and right.
>>3111784
>Tsukai: And now he's solved the lemon on fried food problem as well!
What does that mean?
>>3111785
When a group of people gets a common plate, it usually has just like two slices of lemon for the whole group, so there's never enough. And since zaShunina's hands can wander all around the table, he just took those slices and distributed the juice to everyone as needed.
Basically, he applied his space communism method again.
Well, we hit image limit. Anyone want to make thread #3 or should I make it?
>>3111834
Only if you have new stuff to post.
>>3111836
Not yet. There should be more stuff after the new episode comes out Friday. If I find anything else before then, I'll make the thread if no one else has already.
>>3111837
Yeah it's best to wait. We can still discuss stuff in here and it's not like the thread will get bumped off fast. No worries.
I've seen exactly one piece of R34 for this series that didn't include the girls.
Fujos are slacking.
I'm so anxious about the next episode. I'm steeling myself for a bad ending but I just want zaShunina and Shindo to be happy. ;_;
>>3111881
Happy? I'll settle for "not dead."
Found some stuff on Twitter.
