I'll search forever for you
Second choice is meta kimono print/ fancy kimono, any cut so long as there is no front shirring
looking for btssb x koitsukihime love moon princess 2006 stained glass angel seraphim print jsk in black only
(sorry, that was a mouthful)
can pay right away
PM me at http://lacemarket.us/author/empire
finally compiled all mine into one image. Top row are ultimate holy grails/shut up and take my money/will probably never find them but I can dream. Middle row are ones I'd desperately love to have, but again, probably won't ever find. And bottom row are ones that I'd love to have, but only for a good price.
aka give me all of the ugly floral print!
My phone won't let me copy the image from lolibrary without selecting it which makes it turn white. I have the regular version saved to my desktop but I'm on mobile most of the time.
Also I found this for OP of the last thread http://page3.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c539786948
I feel your suffering anon.
>none of my current accessories match any of these
>still feel a mighty need
And I know Hydrangeas & Butterflies was on Fril but for $200 I'd rather wait for Gardenberries or Crystal Dream Carnival.
I'm starting to wonder about this dress. It only seems to be secondhand sold in yellow...
Pink or Brown strongly preferred.
Thank you so much for notifying me that my dream dress was on frill. It arrived today! I managed to get it and matching tights and headband for a really good deal! Sorry about the horrible picture quality it looks really pretty in real life. Thank you so much anon you have made me so happy.
If anyone is Australia based and needs an SS I can definitely recommend a great one!!
i'm not that sure why either, but i'm just usually browsing when a new thread is made or when the old one sages
i used to make threads, but someone got annoyed that all the OP images were the same haha
asking $160 plus shipping from australia, feel free to PM me on lacemarket http://lacemarket.us/author/empire
the one on Y!J? i was tempted, but the white has so much pink in the print
thanks for the luck, i just wish people didn't hold onto theirs so tightly haha
Very much want misty sky jsk in black or navy. I'm such a sucker for sky prints.
Narrowed wishlist down to this one dress, it's the only one I really want
And by decent I mean 300 or below, I'm not crazy or cheap
Sage for double post. Just don't want anyone to think I'm not serious, I have the money but think it's dumb to pay twice what a dress originally cost
Who commented on it in another thread? Not me. It just seems odd to have an iffy version of a stock photo saved if it's your dream dress. They explained why, so now I am no longer curious. No one was rustled but you.
I used to see this come up all the time. Check YA regularly if you don't already, I got my white one for 4000 yen there. It's gorgeous and great quality for a LP dress (doesn't seem any lower than any of my other Meta dresses). The only bad thing about it is the cut is a bit frumpy.
At this point, the Aatp jsk is my main priority.
If you'd be one word,
It would be perfection.
Caught me like an infection
And left me uncured.
Price doesn't matter,
All I want is you.
The sooner the better
For this dream to come true.
If only you'd get a rerelease,
I'd wear you in every way.
Piece by piece,
And day by day.
Dreaming to coord you pretty
With big RHS.
This poem is shitty
But High Neck Shantung Op
Pls b my dress ;_;
Here's my realistic short list. Top Priority is the dozing cat OP in black, I'm so mad I didn't snag it before when I had the chance.
I really hope Baby will have a reservation next year, and otherwise the year after.
It's as elusive as ever.
Usagiyouhinten had a black Funeral Procession of Rose JSK earlier today but now they're on holiday and the site can't be viewed. Try there on January 8th if you can't find it before then, it was a decent price too iirc.
Wow, I'm dumb. Didn't even know it was on Y!J. I really haven't been diligent! It was on LM, actually. I could really go for both, DESU, so I'm hoping the black color way turns up and you snag it!
Since this thread often turns into "let me help you find that dress," I don't see a problem with it. What do you care if someone has 5, 10, or 50 dream dresses? Having two different threads would be redundant, just share the dream dress thread with the wishlists. If it was just dream dresses this would get 20 posts and die anyway because it would be the same people reposting rare shit that no one can find.
Why do I care? Why does anyone care about anything?
It just seems a bit silly. If it's just dresses you want, there is a BST thread already. These threads used to be about one or two dream dresses you would do anything for or even dresses you already own (because a dream dress continues tp be one). It's called "dream" dress for a reason.
A few threads back there was someone looking for the Sweetie Violet JSK in navy - it's up on LM right now.
Yea but youer holding your standards to others and it just doesn't work. So, you don't understand the difference between the BST and this thread - Most buyers do crosspost because some people here really actually like looking at different avenues rather than at a BST where it's mostly sellers looking to sell.
Considering how many releases there have been and other circumstances, it really isn't uncommon for someone to have that many dresses.
It irks me less when people post multiple dresses than when someone links them to one, and they just say "Oh, I can't actually afford it right now!" No need to post if you're not actively trying to get it.
This color, this cut only in L/XL. I've been looking for over a year and haven't even seen it come up.
the one on LM was the aatp version, not btssb though?
i check multiple times a day, but it's always gone up when i'm asleep haha. still, thanks for the luck and good luck to you too!
This could be the only dress I get in 2016 and I would still be extremely happy.
Sorry that there's non-dream stuff here, I kind of just use one picture for everything.
I keep telling myself that someday these dreams will finally come true... Someday...
Fancy kimono or pic related. Really any of the meta prints like this, I lost an auction for one recently and was super sad
Highest priority is My Tart but I'd be happy to get at least one piece off my wishlist.
this seems like something you'd like anon http://page3.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c539056205
Would you be interested in the skirt version? I've been considering selling mine
sorry the quality is garbage
There's two different versions up on LM right now, but I'm trying my best not to cave. I want the vest version, dangit.
I'm looking for my top 4 dream dresses :
Honey Cake Round JSK in yellow, Angelic Pretty
Teddy Bear Parade JSK in navy, Innocent World
Kuma Kumya’s Royal Kingdom JSK I
In Navy or Brown, Baby The Stars Shine Bright
Buckle Belt Jumperskirt in White x Black, size M, Innocent World
Kuma Kumya-Chan's Sweet Chocolate Babydoll JSK in Milk Chocolate. *sigh* it's on Y!J but I just bought another dress a few weeks ago and don't have the funds right now.
Pls help. Bunny Milk and Snow Strawberry in has proven particularly elusive despite a gull commenting that they're 'common' last time I posted. When it does come up it's always the wrong size (usually an L, I need an S), cut (I want the ribbon jsk) and/or the wrong colourway. Did a search the night before last *nothing* literally woke up the next morning and one had gone up then went absurdly cheap in the 6 hours I'd been asleep.
Also Moonlight Dance, which I haven't seen come up in forever, appeared and sold really quickly too.
I'm stoked that the rerelease of Holy Lantern includes a high waist jsk because it was always the special set version that I wanted.
My wishlist is finally drawing to a close. After this I don't intend to look at any new releases. Just want to check these final beauties off my list.
It's gotta show up one of these days, right?
Also, what happened to Teddy Motors Anon?
It's not a dress, but I desperately want this Meta cardigan.
I missed it the only time I saw it pop up.
>"in everyone's dreams" tier
>mfw it's so rare this dress hasn't even shown up in the wild (except for one random chinese girl wearing it once which was probably ages ago)
>mfw Baby literally never rereleases it
>mfw I actually have all the money to throw at it if Baby ever did rerelease it (or if it showed up elsewhere, which it won't)
at this point I might as well commission a cosplay of the Kuragehime dress, but it wouldn't be the same
Can't believe I'd ever go for this but now i have a mighty need. Would sell my soul for this dress. Only in red. Only this exact dress.
This dress is a fucking enigma, I swear. It's so pretty, you'd think at least one rich Chinese lolita would have commissioned a nice photoshoot or have taken a selfie where they aren't wearing ugly house slippers.
I've had a very lucky start to the year with a dream dress. Someone kindly linked me to the Atelier Boz Carol Sharon op and my SS managed to get it today!
I'm still on the hunt for all the other dresses in my image especially Silent Moon and Pleats but there's no rush.
Goodluck dream dress anons, I hope you find your dream dresses soon!
I bought it from a gull around the 400 mark but I wanted it so badly I stopped trying to haggle when she stopped responding, then had customs/import tax on top. I mentioned the prices I saw in LM but thought I should suck it up and stop being a 'bitter poorfag'...
Thanks to you posting this in an older thread with almost the exact same question, I answered a lolita trivia quiz with it. Cited it as probably the most expensive dress -- if it ever came up for sale, at least.
Sageing myself, but I wanted to thank you anon.
holy hell anon, I'm sorry that's so shitty of them.I'm glad that you got it! I had to choose between milk and black, but I'd like to still get the milk tea. The gardenberries rabbits and crochet was the first dress I fell in love with before I was in lolita.
Thanks for sympathy anon; It is stunning, but I get the feeling that these incredibly inflated secondhand prices happen in part because people get fixated on prints. The construction of the dress leaves a lot to be desired but dat print. Not at all how things were in 2004. I'm still a bit bummed over it but I am grateful to be able to get my hands on it at all.
I just have to tell someone that I know understands. Ugh.
I've been looking for a Moitie ring that was stolen from me two years ago. Finally a girl is selling it on FB, and in the same color too! However she's selling it in a set of 3 for $100+ fees and shipping from Europe and won't split it. I can't drop that much especially since one of the other two looks pretty corroded...hold me gulls it's been 2 years already and I'm never going to see this damn thing again.
I need advice, anons. A wishlist dress in a cut/colorway that never pops up came up just recently for a decent price, and I can't afford to pick it up unless I sell something(s) first. I'm considering selling a former wishlist dress that I've never really ended up wearing because it's too OTT. But, that dress doesn't go for as much anymore as when I bought it and I still like it, so I'm afraid I'll regret selling it... What would you do in this situation?
I always think of it as I would with a trade. If someone was offering me that item to trade, and the only way I could get it is if I got rid of the particular item in question, would I do it? In my experience, when you get something you enjoy and would wear more, than you don't regret selling the other thing. Think of it as a trade, and decide which item you would feel like you'd come out on top with, and go with it. Makes it a lot easier.
Congrats! If it was the lavender op or jsk then I'm totally jealous, but go you!
One day I'll know that feel. Can AP please rerelease that? It's fairly popular, right? I thought it was more popular than sweet cream house anyway.
Finally nabbed this dress in my preferred colorway!
I missed it a couple times in different colorways and lengths but I'm really glad I waited.
Oh my god anon, I'm laughing because I've never been thanked or referred to here before.
That other thread actually may or may not have been me too? Since so many want this dress - but either way, the sentiment is definitely the same.
>where is this dress
>why does it never show up (even worn, random single shot of a chinese lolita aside)
>WHY is it never rereleased come ON Baby, let me give you all my money
>well I know why because it probably wasn't popular when it first sold BUT STILL
>mfw crying because "most expensive dress" is my holy grail
>I just want it because it's gorgeous
>but also because I really really love Kuragehime
Thank you kindly anon, it's my first Atelier Boz op. I was just going to buy carol mini op in black x white off the Boz site but I'm glad I hadn't yet
I'm also searching for pleats op anon, I really hope you find it.
Congratulations I am really happy you are able to replace your Moitie ring.
I'm so sorry anon my computer crashed and I lost that throwaway mail window. If you can still be bothered please send me an email here. Alternatively if you are a part of Sydney lolitas, she made a post advertising her services (it's like the 12th post).
looking for these two dresses in particular right now. message me on lacemarket: anja_elisabeth
My main dream is to own this entire series, but I'd be happy with the JSK in white!
This in either bitter or brown.
I just fell in love with it, so, how much am I going to pay?
Sure, but I was hoping a dress I like might end up being cheap for once.
It's also not that big of a dream dress. I recently aquired my last real dream dress and now I'm looking at my less passionate wishlist dresses. This thread is usually helpful with that.
There's was at least one other sea gull that seemed more passionate about that dress and has also posted in this thread. They might be more willing to shell out the dough.
There's a chance it might go for cheaper still especially on the Japanese market, but you'll have stiff competition.
I hate to be a bit off topic, but I'm getting frustrated.. Is anyone else getting tired of finding anons dream dresses only to find that some criteria (which was never mentioned beforehand) wasn't met?
I could understand if the dress was priced ridiculously expensive / excessive damage / etc.
But it's getting really frustrating and I'm losing incentives to help anons look for dresses.
What sort of criteria are you talking about? I'm understanding for all of the reasons you've mentioned, but what are reasons that actually bother you?
If the dress is damaged, hugely expensive, missing items, etc., then I wouldn't blame anyone for passing on it, even if I'd probably still want a damaged item, anyways.
Maybe if I hunt for the witch hat now that it's the off-season I will have better luck.. maybe
Such a cute dress, I was actually looking for it too in pink only and found one for sale! But I just thought you might be happier to have it since it literally came to you in a dream. That was you in that previous thread, right?
You've been searching for some time now! I sincerely hope that someday this gorgeous thing will be yours, kimonoanon.
Not op, but what piss me when this happens is anons replying in a really ungrateful way. I don't know, there's someone thinking about me and trying to help, don't be a bitch and at least thank them.
Not that I can't sleep when that happens, but yeah, you lost a little of initiative to help.
Sorry for the rambling, hope you gulls can found your dreams!
Just looking at the last 2 examples in this thread.
>I want the whole series!
>Oh anon, I already got the op, lol.
>I only kinda want this dress.
>I hope I get lucky and get it still even though others seemed to have it on their priority list!
Also agree with this.
I think it's a symptom of the same entitlement that has people dumping their entire wishlists in here, desu. These threads are shit compared to even a year ago, but further back than that when people only posted their one actual DD there was rarely this kind of attitude where anons turn their nose up at help.
I don't know if it's indicative of new lolitas/the current community as a whole or just the way this board is now, or what but it's definitely noticeable.
maybe we should rename this thread "Holy Grail Dress Thread"? that seems to be used more frequently for top tier/special dresses more than "dream dress" nowadays, which has become a lot more general i.e. the examples above.
Is it that big of a deal? Do we really need two threads, one for Real Dream Dresses?
I'm not sure if making a new thread is the best solution, but it will certainly will help people weed out what's really important.
I think we could also benefit from people being more specific (exact cuts/colors, level of priority, possibly price willing to pay, etc) to save disappointment from both sides.
People also need to remember you are being watched. There are people wanting to help/potential sellers looking in this thread, but they're not really going want to help you if you have a not so great attitude.
Reminder for anons looking for Meta's Vintage Cameo it's being re-released January 8.
Blue and purple only
I agree. I am identifiable by the one dress I used to post before finally finding it this year, not a fucking 20-item "maybe if I eventually have the money wishlist". The threads first started out being a way to find things you literally could not get your hands on and people had been searching for often a number of months to years as well as having money set aside (apart from penguindrum anon, who thankfully has disappeared in the last year or two). Now it's people who can't be arsed searching the most common second hand sites like closet child and wunderwelt or who have every excuse why they aren't buying a dress as soon as someone links them.
Maybe I'm just old and sick of these damn teenagers on my lawn
>Now it's people who can't be arsed searching the most common second hand sites like closet child and wunderwelt or who have every excuse why they aren't buying a dress as soon as someone links them.
So true anon, so true.
I'm relatively new to these threads and I'm getting burnt out.
We used to have separate ones. Wishlist was like...discuss your favourite dresses, find other things you liked off other anons' lists, maybe throw in a link if people said they were actively buying. Dream dress thread used to be understood as dream dress thread, if you didn't have the cash to stump up for whatever listing you had seen you usually mentioned that.
Yeah it's turned into a "do my shopping for me" thread. At least back in the day there used to be some discussion about what made your dream dress a "dream dress", what you liked about it, how it would go in your wardrobe etc. It kinda stopped for a bit since those of us with hard to find dresses didn't have more to say after the first few times we'd discussed it, but it was probably as friendly as I've ever seen cgl be and lots less entitled
And with the shipping paid Berry River is finally mine! Feels good.
Now I just have to decide what to do about the Fairy tail set on LM. If I buy it there will go my budget that I was planning to use to buy more things for coording and maybe a dress depending on the price, but if I wait to see if the price goes down someone else may get it.
>At least back in the day there used to be some discussion about what made your dream dress a "dream dress", what you liked about it, how it would go in your wardrobe etc.
We should start that again
Maybe whoever makes a new thread also include "rules" like people should indicate if it's the exact cut they're looking for or if they are looking to buy or if they don't have the funds.
Its really not that hard to say what their financial situation is when they post their stuff
It's shitty. I have 6 items on my wishlist but they're all hard to find and beyond that I've decided to forgoe new releases, only buying blouses or accessories so I get what my heart is set on. I've literally had the same 8 or so tabs open for months, checking several times a day and use this thread as a bit of backup help, rather than *expecting* everyone to do my shopping for me.
I love these threads because I love seeing people who truly want a dress get it, especially when it seems half the people buying up all the new releases don't even want them, leaving them to sit in a closet or sell them for 3x retail after one wear.
Really? No black? Not a big fan for blue and purple though I love lavender.
I bought two dream dresses last month and this is also another one of my dream dresses.
How does Vintage Cameo look on a tall lolita? I'm 5'9".
You're right, but seeing someone who didn't even bother to research market value of their dream dress and doesn't have it as priority isn't going to incentivize other anons to help them out.
I just started out and fell in love with Night Carnival whilst browsing shops!
See, that's the thing though. It's not hard to say "interested in skirt only"
If people are trying to help you out, it doesn't hurt to be more specific. I may want the print in whatever way I can get it whereas you want the skirt version.
I'm not even a lolita anymore, but I really want the Sweetie Violet skirt, only the skirt, in any colorway, going from Sax, Lilac, Navy and Pink
Since I'm not a lolita I don't actively search for it, but whenever I do it's nowhere to found
>Anons complain about exactly this happening
>it still happens
If you dont want the piece that was linked, can't you just say a nice thank you and nothing more? We dont need to know about all your financial responsibilities and why you cant buy a piece. Just say thanks and move on if you dont want it. At lleast give us the illusion we're helping, jeez.
>Someone I don't even know laughed at me for wishlisting it.
i hope you told them off
i mean it's a unicorn but yeah for all we know it'll randomly pop up on y!j someday for 100k yen as a BIN or something
I did. I wasn't snotty about it or anything, but I did say something. I really want it for a future wedding dress and then to hang onto it for special occasions.
If I can't find it by that time though, I have a family member who is an amazing seamstress so I will probably just commission a replica. Like someone already said though, it wouldn't be the same.
Maybe if we all send letters to Baby begging and explaining that the series is finally getting popular, they will consider rereleasing.
>Maybe if we all send letters to Baby begging and explaining that the series is finally getting popular, they will consider rereleasing.
I've already done this (even said how much I'd pay for it new, out of desperation), so it'd be great if others could try emailing too. Maybe still nothing will come out of it, but hey, we can dream, right?
Willing to take either cut of the JSK in Black or Navy colorways I just love this dress so much
This so hard.
The whining is ridiculous, just because you don't like what's going on doesn't mean you should storm off into a corner with a new thread. The split is totally unnecessary, and if you want it to change things and take the DD thread back to whatever you think it was that was so sacred to you, then just make it clear that's what you want via calling out people who are ungrateful laundry-list assholes, rather than whining at a wall and making a new thread. If it's clear that the majority of people have sort of a DD thread culture that makes the thread go and that they wish to be restored, then the wishlist thing will phase out on its own.
Why so salty? Did you miss the part where I prioritized the pink one the least? I would love it in pink too, but if I were to spend that money on this skirt atm I would want it to be the blue or violet.
And since that anon apologized for it being the pink I just wanted to say I really appreciated the effort?
I would've posted it in the wishlist thread yes, but I didn't saw that one before I posted, since it was linked to right after my post
Thanks. Meta does crazy measurements and it's hard to determine the length. It's between that and the other cut which reminds me of the rococo era.
No, I'm just annoyed that people feel the need to split off instead of saying "Hey, knock it off" and keeping to it. I'm all for calling people out on it because it bothers me as well, but when you make some passive wehhh muh DD thread post, and then stomp away, it doesn't do any good. I can't give a situation when splitting and pouting is ever the right solution; jut take control if you want things to change, set ground rules and clarification for upcoming threads, if anything.
I've been scavenging for this motherfucker for 4 years. If it ever comes up I'll fight you for it.
Honestly though, I'm just going to get myself some shantung and commission a replica.
Okay, I suppose I sort of assumed it was clear because I had mentioned it in the past, but it was a while ago so I apologize.
I don't see what's so terrible about my attitude. I don't think two links are the same as half a dozen, and sorry I forgot to check the thread for one day, am I really bothering you that much?
diff anon but how good are Tokyo Pirates at actually getting something featured on the blogs? other anons have said in the past that shit (the stuff featured) tends to go super fast?
It's not really at fault of Tokyo Pirates though.
If it's popular, all it takes is for some Japanese lolita to walk in at the opening time and grab it.
When you work with a ss, you gotta get invoiced, pay the invoice, and it might not be until the next day or 2 your ss can go buy it.
If you have a good relationship with your ss, you might be able to do the invoice after purchasing.
They do but it also depends on how fast you are too with emailing and paying. She managed to get a dress dress for me but it had been a week and no one bought it.
Some blogs are good at updating whether an item has been sold and she would contact them first if it's still available
Not exactly a dress, but I have my eye on this coat to go with my dresses. Might work for normie society too, idk.
Only one was made for Nightfall back in early 2015 and because of the intricate detailing it probably won't be mass produced. R.A.D. are considering making similar designs to sell.
But I fell in love with this at first sight.
Yes, it was! And...Oh fuck me. I stopped checking for a bit since I thought I had no chance of getting my preferred colorways. Is it still for sale? I'm at work on my phone and the site is giving me trouble. I'm going to put my head through a wall...
Someone asked at a Baby panel if they'd ever rerelease it. They said because of legal arrangemens it would be hard. Howerver, they also said that if there was enough demand they would.
Just in case you feel like spaming them requesting to have it as a rerelease. I would kill my bank account for this.
>However, they also said that if there was enough demand they would.
>all my tears
please, gulls, help me email them
i wouldn't spam them (don't want them to get annoyed like AP did with Misty Sky) but definitely just sending emails actually sounds good!
>mfw my hopes are probably way too high for this
>mfw will it ever happen
I don't even want the dress and I'll email them for all you anons out there who do. If someone wants to draft up a good short/quick letter with the request, then I can share it around and will email it to them.
Same here! Its gorgeous and i love the thing, but not something I'd actually buy, but i would deginately email them of it might get a rerelease for you gulls! I just really want to see an actual nice coord of it instead that sad slipper clad excuse for a coord that is the only worn photo in existance
diff but when I emailed them I basically thanked them for their work, mentioned my request, mentioned how rare and likely high priced it'll become (BTSSB has been known to rerelease dresses that went super high on auctions, that one OTT piece that went for thousands comes to mind), mentioned how many lolitas seem ready and willing to buy it (pretty much everyone who can will probably jump on such a rerelease), and said the amount I'd personally pay for it.
>>8798868 adding that mentioning why you personally would like the dress to be rereleased (a personal feeling, connection to the series it's based on, heck even just wanting your friends who love it to be able to buy it, etc.) might also be good. idek, I don't know how emailing for a rerelease typically works, but this is what I think they'd be interested in hearing.
Sorry for late reply, but please do if you decide to. I don't know what would be a good price, a quick search on lacemarket said the skirt were going for around 100-120$ so i guess around that
I found my favorite cut on mbok but it's more than I want to pay since it includes the headbow and bonnet, neither of which I want. Go for it http://www.mbok.jp/item/item_462974714.html?_SRC=li_item
it's a collab between Baby and Kuragehime, a manga (and anime) series. Some anons (or maybe it's just me?) were introduced to baby through this release and so there's a certain sense of sentimental value to it (again, maybe it's just me). Aside from that, it's just a really pretty dress.
Go back and search EGL. It was pretty much disliked when it came out, it only came out as a made-to-order, and it wasn't cheap. So it's very rare because the girls who were lolitas when the dress came out almost universally didn't like it, didn't order it, and therefore the number of dresses in circulation is near zero.
This dress, known as the kuranosuke stripe jsk, was a much better hit, both fans of kuragehime and non fans liked it. It was easier to find up until a few years ago, but now it's become hard to find as well. (There's a couple of other dresses, but these two were the most loved and the most hated from the whole collab).
Well, everyone has their own reasons for liking their dream dress. I just wanted to clarify that this isn't some kind of holy grail rare dress involved in some kind of bloodbath to end all bloodbaths. The plain truth is that it was a made-to-order dress that nobody liked, nobody wanted, so nobody bought it, and that's the real reason it's rare.
Thank you very much anon! Luckily this also makes me 'good level of patience anon'
>when will this pain end
Kuranosuke Stripe has popped up before, though it's still pretty rare. The reason for the lower priced listings, I've noticed, was typically because someone not western based was selling it. You can bet if a western US-based or UK-based lolita sold theirs, it'd be pretty high priced and would probably go for that too.
>>8801598 adding that the one US listing for it was for an altered one that sold quite some time ago. the general agreement here seemed to be that it was not that great an alteration, plus alterations in general can damage a dress, which lowers the value compared to it being BNWT and untouched.
>this isn't some kind of holy grail rare dress involved in some kind of bloodbath to end all bloodbaths
back then it wasn't, but you have to admit it's probably reached that status by now, hence all the lolitas dying for a rerelease of it, be it here on cgl, mentions of it on the fb groups or egl, or asking about it at panels.
tastes change over the years, that much has become apparant.
>except if i had been into lolita when that dress came out, i would have bought it regardless of what others had to say
On the lookout for Dolly Cross in Blk or White (preferred)
Also looking for the Toy March Parka in this teal color, and Scheherazade ~One Thousand and One Nights~ JSK I in Blue only.
For anyone still looking for Nameless Poem, Clobba just got black ones in S and M in stock for $100 USD!
Op of that post here, we'll wait together. Wasn't B&B supposed to do an online re-release last October for Rufflecon? It seemed like it just didn't happen. I sent them a message recently but haven't received any response yet.
My one holy grail dream dress is Dolly Cross but only in black. Let's hunt as dream dress friends! I have a list of links on different sites that I check daily for it and have been for a long time. I would be more than happy to share any leads I find with you! Do you happen to be the same person who posted a WTB for Dolly Cross on fb?
I'm not trying to pass judgement on the dress, it's just the comments I replied to were speculating that this was a super popular dress because of a collab or something, when actually the complete reverse is exactly why you never see this dress anywhere. I couldn't get the point across without stressing how unpopular this dress was, keep in mind that even radioactive cupcakes is in circulation, but this dress isn't. I think no one in the West actually shelled out for the dress.
I mean, if you're going to start up an email campaign with Baby, you'd at least want to realise that you're starting off with a handicap, they will have their own data that says nearly no one bought that dress. You'd at least want to show them some explanation on why none of the girls writing in now didn't buy the dress at release if it was such a big deal.
Though that brings up another issue as well. No one in my facebook circle wants this dress, and I've never seen it mentioned outside of cgl. I want anons to get their dream dresses, but I'd be wary of writing in to Baby asking for a dream dress every time some unidentified anons say so on cgl. Too many emails, too many failed re-releases, and they'll start ignoring us the way AP ignored Misty Sky emails. Keep in mind the dresss itself is $700 retail, I'd advise not to write in if you don't have intentions of following through. As a group, the lack of follow-through means they'll think we're all in cahoots with each other and start ignoring all requests from now on (even more than they already are, I mean).
It might actually be getting more expensive then. It was trading closer to what >>8801054
says in the couple of years after its release, iirc.

with that kind of attitude we might as well never send emails for any request at all.

Just because you haven't personally seen it and your circle doesn't want it doesn't mean the demand isn't there. I've seen it mentioned on FB, LJ, and tumblr at various points.

Sorry, just tired of shit posting.
I'm so pissed since I failed during the bloodbath and got outbid in yahoo auctions some months ago. That dress is the only dress I care about, I had shitload of dreams with it and absolutely all my wardrobe is fitted to enhance it. I was thinking of stopping buying lolita but I cannot without that dress, which honestly made me understood what people really meant by dreamdress. I cried so much for not having it, smiled so much as I imagined myself with it. P-please, s-someone. I-I know I should have checked every places where it was in before it sold out instead of one hour after, but I just guess I am unlucky. If anyone ever see it anywhere in that colorway, I woul really appreciate a link or to be warned. Thank you really much, gulls.
