The flood which supposedly happened is impossible for many reasons, one being the gathering and returning of all the animals without any evidence of migration or food consumption, the fact that there isn't enough water on earth to create a flood so large, if the world flooded like that it would've killed all plant life, and a big one being that many civilizations we're thriving and kept thorough records during that time.

There is no scientific evidence of a god, only evidence indicating their isn't. To say you don't know how something happened so it must be an all powerful being who created everything, and were special snowflakes made in his image, and all other creatures were made for us to do with as we please....but he's 100% benevolent... None of it adds up.

If you're so concerned, just stop, and live your fucking life. Don't waste your time in churches. Don't waste this life worrying about if there is a next. If there is a good, he probably has no idea you exist, and certainly wouldn't condemn you if you're a good person.

Different litterature will have different lessons. The good thing about christianity and the bible is that being relatively young it borrows the better parts of other older religions and mashes them into one (as most religions do).

That's why i never called it fact. Regarding the atheist struggle, i think your problem is not with religion, the bible or spirituality, but with organized religion. The scientific method is not reliant on faith because there is an expectation which has been repeatedly established through repeated experimentation producing the same result each time.
God on the other hand necessitates faith - God is unobservable, God is all powerful, omnipotent, etc. etc. these are not things which we can (as of yet) establish proof for, and even if we could, by doing so you would destroy the faith of anyone who came across this evidence.

I dont really see atheism as a struggle at all. I definitely reject organized religion, the heads of those religions, and the idea that their writings are in any way to be given special privilege from scrutiny. I would at no point as with absolute certainty that there is no spirituality/god-like entity in the same way I cannot with absolute certainty say we are not in a simulation of some sort. I have no issue with people who use god or spirituality as a way to live life better, but once it starts interfering with education, laws, and human progress we have an issue.
