The plane didn't have flaps set therefore having less lift. That, coupled with it's slow speed through the air, caused a "stall" or a phenomenon when a flying wing is no longer flying. Since gravity pulls on everything, the plane fell out of the sky and crashed.

My dad is a large aircraft pilot (Boeing 777) and he says air traffic control in the orient is like talking to a fresh off the boat chinese restaurant host taking to-go orders; you can't understand them and they get your order wrong constantly.

Okay, I'll bite. I'm not a pilot or an aeronautical engineer but I fly rc models. It looked like a typical panic pull, where the pilot is pulling manically on the elevator. If there is enough speed, the nose would lift and the plane would rise, however it was after take-off and without speed the raising nose raised the angle of attack, increasing drag slowed the plane even more, started to sink, the pilot pulled even more then the speed decreased so that the left wing stalled and the thing fell out of the sky.
When I started I made many such mistakes.

It didn't crash because because of a stall, it crashed because the pilots got it into a VMC roll. Your father should know this if he's an airline pilot. What is a VMC roll? When one engine on a twin dies, especially if it's a prop or turboprop there's a huge amount of drag from the dead engine. This causes both yaw and roll. The control surfaces can be used to fight this roll, but they're less effective the with low airspeed. If airspeed is low, and throttle is suddenly increased on the still working engine the moment of the drag from the dead engine and the thrust from the working engine can become more than the control surfaces can compensate for at that airspeed, leading to an uncontrollable roll. The only fix is to reduce throttle and regain control.

tl:dr: the chinks did exactly what they shouldn't have done in this situation and got the plane into a VMC roll.
