When I was young my brother took his snake(not penis actual snake) and let it slipe inside my bathrobe via my neck and I freaked out and basically body slammed myself into the floor in panic and killed it.

OP, I realize you have a non venomous snake, but have you ever been bitten? If so, how bad is it? And when you need to get him out of tiny spaces like >>2066051 does it get agitated?

Not OP but corn snake bites don't really hurt. They haven't got very much jaw strength and need to get a good angle to even manage to break the skin. And that's ignoring the low probability if a corn getting mad enough to bother striking at you. They are usually very passive.

Nice to look at if you have a good display though. Not really a good potential cost over value. Don't think I'll get deeper into venomous though many are extremely good looking.

Thinking about getting a split cage with a modified divider that has a slideable opening at the bottom. Would allow for partial maintenance without having to shiftbox the snake out.

And yeah, once your snakes are over 10 feet, you're gonna see a lot of shit. You can't ignore the thickness through the paper towels. That jumbo rat has to come out somewhere.

Colubrids have the nastiest poop though. SMEAR IT EVERYWHERE.

Pic related was possibly the best looking snake I've kept. People always asked if it was real.

Died suddenly a day after a meal a while ago. Suspect the store had poor freezing and cleanliness practices as I got a nice infestation of snake mites on both my RTB and retic from other food I bought there. Assholes went out of business not long after.

Start out with the medium and see how it goes. Better a little too small than too big.

never double the size of the snakes head, thats rule number one, remeber u can always feed it rwo or 3 smaller mice if u wanna be really safe

I've been keeping reptiles for many years, but as of 5 years started keeping snakes. I started off breeding garters, then corns, kings, and bulls, but small snakes (especially colubridae) . I don't know. It's not like they irritate me, but I just don't appreciate them as much. That being said, I'd love to get my hands on some bamboo rat snakes. I keep larger species. It's not for 'ma snek' either because I really don't have friends, nor do many people know I have them. I don't even care to show them off.
Most people know me just as the 'rat breeder' from where I am. No one has put two and two together yet.

Hey /an/ons, my what's the average growth rate for red tail boas? Mine will be three this year and seems small for his age even though he eats once a week. What length and girth should he be at at almost 3 years?

Anyone have any experience with mutations? My red tail died not too long ago and I really want a sunglow ted tail.
