I think it's on purpose, she looks kind of monstrous. I don't dislike it but it's a bit weird. And her front hair looks flat but that's really the only complaints I can find.
The sculpt is very detailed, I like it particularly around her knees. Both her body and her dress look like they have weight. It's like she's actually sitting on the table, whereas the GSC is floating in 0g.

i'm talking about something that looks at least as good as a prize figure, not something with 3d printer lines and strings all over it. a ton of hand work would go into filling and sanding, detail sculpting, and then painting. you can see how much work goes into taking 3d printed prototypes up to a presentable level, because theres side views of some of the boatslut prototypes that shows the underside and backside of their armament, and its still rough 3d printed surface

Of course, painting might be a problem because it's hard to get the right combination if you don't have enough colors, but overall it's much easier and more fun to do it this way.

I honestly haven't been following the industry in the last few years, you'd have to look into it yourself. Maybe a resin printer would make a nicer print. Theres also metal laser sintering, witch could make mold however they still have a rough finish since it uses metal powder, and it would probably cost you an arm and a leg to get a mold made by a company since these machines are expensive to buy and operate.

Well, what I did recently was buy 1kg of clay and try sculpt something I considered "easy" like a pokemon. So I looked up a picture of Blastoise and when I actually got to it, it ended up having more detail than I even realized. It's all about how you use your tools and how form works. And this is something you can only get a grip on after some serious practice.
Just experiment and have fun, eventually you'll find a breakthrough and start understanding more and more about it.
The first thing you should look for is a material to work with, there's fucking tons. Here's some more to get you started if you're interested.
