Yeah, I use irssi myself, but ultimately they're all the same protocol. That's one of the reasons IRC has hung on so long after all, there are lots of different clients from different people and aimed at different people, which also means if any one maker dies it's not problem overall. A replacement for IRC would be something more like Matrix, an actual new open communication protocol, not just some new client software. Though at least for now everything promising still has a ways to go outside of specific use cases.

I've found utilities that can OCR subs out of a blurryray graphic subtitle file. I've done it twice, the 2nd time with the Ohys-raws sub for the Love Live movie then I added and times the song lyrics, even for As Time Goes By. Secondly, Animebytes has a bonus point system. If you download something and keep it active in your client, you accumulate points which you can trade in for seeded gigabytes. So your example is false and idiotic.

And sites that don't use bonus point systems (like what) usually have lax ratio rules. I have a ratio of 3 on what and my required ratio is 0.01.

Also, maintaining ratio on Animebytes is fucking easy, even without the bonus points. The site is filled with freeleech, has regular freeleech days and people download from there actively.

To sum all of this up, you're fucking dumb.
