Looks like they opened some more showings, I guess it was more popular than they thought
More casuals like it than I thought. I mentioned the movie's showing to a coworker and she said her fiance likes Monogatari series but didn't know about the movie. So now he's probably going to go find a late ticket.
Damnit, now I gotta google this shit.
And up until this point I was planning on being smugly self-satisfied in my anger at the industry that doesn't care about me and doesn't want me to spend a single cent on them.
>What kind of bizarro world do you live in?
Not him, but I've had my fair share of surprises on people actually knowing about my chink cartoons.
People keep saying anime is this niche thing, or maybe more people than we thought are excellent at hiding their power level.
>Closest theater is 2 hours away.
I'll wait for the torrent.
>tfw it's been 2 weeks and my LN hasn't been dispatched yet
Google maps says 3 1/2 hrs but it'll probably be 4 hrs. I know I'm making a mistake driving this long for a fucking 1 hr movie but I've waited so long for more based Oshino.
The ones you won't be getting because you weren't able to purchase a ticket for the first showing.
The Toronto audience for Madoka was surprisingly decent. Cringeworthy while waiting in line but civilized during the film.
(I saw a showing of Eva 2.0 years prior where people would applaud character appearances like a 90s sitcom.)
Just ordered my tickets for the 27th in Ohio. Now if I can just work up the courage to leave my basement...
Not that anon, but only newfags call someone a newfag as vehemently as you do. Plus we've already had several threads like this already.
>tfw just bought 2 tickets for the Ohio showing even though I won't go unless someone goes with me
Thanks /a/tl anon. I'll need it.
>never driven this far by myself before
FUCK CANADIANS. haha you little shits will have to wait till summer or watch a shitty cam rip while my ameribros go and fuck their dates to this movie.
I hope they end up showing the next two parts of the movie overseas as well, seeing how well tickets are selling.
Any San Diego folks? Gonna be heading to a Korean BBQ place before the show too. It'd be fun to chat.
whats wrong with the image? If I don't go, those 2 empty seats that no on else can have. I wish I could hear the sigh of the people that try to buy a ticket after its sold out, even though there will be at least 2 empty seats thanks to me.
I wanted to go to the Atlanta showing, but it would take around 4 hrs for me to get there. Maybe we'll get closer showings, if not I'll just wait for the BDs as well.
I was planning on it, since I'm less than an hour from the Plaza. It doesn't look like you can buy tickets online though, do you have to call or something?
They didn't already sell out did they?
other than nyc and la surprised it's selling out. had no problems in my city and just bought.
also never been to anything anime related before. can i expect basic levels of personal hygiene? and is the crowd going to be obnoxious as fuck?
'sup Ohio niggas.
FYI if you're coming into cbus for the movie, there are some pretty good Japanese restaurants around here. Ba Sho and Tensuke Market Express are my go-tos. Kihachi is good (it was on Anthony Bourdain's show), but they really want you to have reservations.
Any other UK bros manage to get Kizumonogatari the novel? Mine comes later today and I'm honestly surprised Amazon shipped considering I thought they didn't have any left. I'm guessing I'm just lucky or maybe they've restocked it again. I figured they might maybe do that closer to the US release of the movie.
Any japanese places to eat by the showing in LA?
Last part I've seen from the series was when Kaiki got killed in the snow. What parts do I have to watch to catch up?
Thinking of going with some people to see this.
None. This is the prequel series.
No, Indigo online store. I don't wanna have to order it from the states.
Fuck yes, there has been a criminal lack of Karen scenes ever since SS. Tsukihi is still best sister though.
What are the chances Bake and the other novels will get translated or was Kizu just a testing the waters product to see if the franchise would sell in the west?
Hanekawa a best with Kanbaru second.
>Kizu just a testing the waters product to see if the franchise would sell in the west?
Apparently Nisio recommended Kizu to be translated first
It also matched that they change the date of the release because Kizu was going to air in January, it was suppose to be released in November, same with the Kisshot figure
>Not getting Mr.Donut
Or buying Krispy Kreme or any decent donut establishment ran by Gooks.
Any anons in Kamiooka right now? Got a ticket for a 1440 viewing.
I've seen at least 3 other anons posting from utah on these threads. Good to know there are people of taste here.
You're not doing it right if you don't show up to the movie like this
That would be fucking hilarious. Do it. I'd give you a little kiss on the cheek.
>showing is on march 12th
t-thanks Movie Box.
>plebs without industry passes
who /March 5th in NYC/ here
only fucking place in the northeast if you want to avoid New Jersey.
>tfw can't get to the first showing
Donut anon here. Doubt many of you are going to the SD showing but I've gotten enough positive feedback to consider bringing some anyway.
You're the reason these events have a bad name.
Got my tickets, the showing I'm going to is nearly already sold out for the 28th in Denver.
But, really though - they just google translated the summary.
>Hand-out some free donuts
>Donut-kun: W-would you like some?
>Anon: Sure I'll take it. You really like Shinobu, huh?
>Anon: She's hot, isn't she?
>Donut-kun: Y-you, too.
>On his way home, he's laughing his ass off when his donuts were actually glazed with his semen
>Thread is Kizu
>Wants to discuss Waza
Who's the retard now? Even if this wasn't most people being off topic you'd still be in the wrong thread.
Anyways, this is how we'll find other /a/nons. Every /a/non will bring a donut or a box of donuts and give them away. Definitely. Counting on U guys. I better get my fucking donut.
>yfw the movie ends up subtitled like that
>closest place is a 4.5 hour drive away
>going alone just to see chinese cartoons will make me very, very depressed
>know 2 girls that may want to watch the movie, but I doubt they'd go with me (we talk a lot in class but have never hungout)
>even if they did come with me, they'd have no place to spend the night whereas I have some friends in SA
>refuse to drive 9 hours for a 1 hour film
South Texas sucks.
Industry means nothing when you can easily be a booth babe and get one of those passes.
>Cosplay as Araragi in full lolicon mode while fishing for little girls with donuts
>Have 8 year girl cosplay hachikuji while completeing all hard mode tasks.
Yeah, Madoka would still be vaguely relatable for a 13-year-old. The Monogatari Series is another beast. I can't imagine any kid able to sit through extremely long dialogue of pretentious puns and insights without having autistic tunnel vision.
I have some bad news for you
Who should I cosplay as to the movie?
I couldn't even recognize her. She looks generic.
>stupid americans have to wait one more month
Feels good to be refugee sucker for once
Better than getting shot senpai-Desu
>all these anons complaining about kizu book availability
>even some preorders being messed up
>tfw i ordered it day 3 and the package arrived a full day early from the estimate
I feel your pain man, as someone who lived in Vegas my whole life up until recently. It always seems events like these never come there. I'm glad I'm in Northern California for the time being.
Real and bestSodachi is the one behind the mirroranyway.
>3 hour trainride from Braunschweig to watch 45 minutes of anime
The things I would do for Shinobu.
Are you taking the bus or what?
You can easily get from Braunschweig to Hamburg in less than two hours on a saturday. I did myself often enough as old TU Braunschweig student.
Also you could have bought tickets for that glorious Free movie.
