Because the character's silent deadpan presence is like a tsukkomi without actually having to say anything or participate in the joke. She makes everything seem absurd just by being there and quietly distancing herself from it. Her witty and irreverent dialogue is really charming because it's a very subtle and passive-aggressive way of poking fun at the show itself. Not true. MC was casual with Megumi a week or so before Eriri collapsed. Tomoya did had his reasons for not involving the other members in helping Eriri's collapse/problems as an artist, such as Utaha and Eriri's mutual dislike of each other, Eriri doesn't get along with Michiru, and Tomoya doesn't want to drag Megumi around more than he already does.

Aside from that, he stalled the project on his end to look after Eriri. He made the decisions and so did Eriri who got caught up in her pride over creating the best quality she could. In the end, they were able to complete the game, but as a result of their decision, they ended up unable to produce the numbers of copies they had wanted to make so their decision was not with consequences. Tomoya and Eriri both apologized to everyone, and the other members all didn't mind or accepted it as no big deal. What Megumi was tripping over is simply because he didn't inform her about his decisions even though they can be seen as considerate and virtuous on his end, though not with faults. Basically, Megumi's reason to be upset is quite trivial and just melodrama material.

Utaha and Eriri are already aware of their feelings towards MC even before the anime starts, it was explained in the spin-off mangas.

In volume 7 Utaha graduated from the highschool. She later reveals to the MC that she's leaving his circle with Eriri into the rival circle to work on a new galge project.

Eriri will get some heart-warming moments with the MC, especially during the comiket where after that her bitter past with MC is revealed, and there's also that one time where they're bonding with each other by playing their nostalgic galge together for a whole day while she's sick. After Utaha's graduation, MC is put into the same class with Eriri while Megumi right now is in a different class than him.

Pseudo imouto is quite irrelevant, but she'll probably join MC's circle and replace Eriri as the illustrator.

Megumi is by far is unclear to me if she has a romantic feelings towards him, so far the MC only looks her as the heroine model for his game and as a friend. There's a lot of things happening between them through from vol 1-5, in vol.6 after completing the game and achieved quite a success with it in the winter comiket, she left the circle. Later after Utaha and Eriri left MC, she came back again to help him with his new project. This time MC asked her to be the vice president for their circle. She agreed (and later she burst out of her character and scolded MC for how badly has he treated all his circle members while the game is in the process of making). The next month she cuts her hair back to exactly looks like her first encounter with the MC on that hill.



For now in terms of relationship i'd say that Eriri is on the lead so far. Utaha is unlikely to be relevant in the next few chapters or even until the next volume.

What's funny is that they could just go join that circle without ever leaving their current one. Doujinshi circles aren't meant to be like your typical lunatic japanese corporations.

She is best. The other girls are pretty boring and generic archtypes, and ironically are more boring than the "boring" girl who is a breath of fresh air.
