Let's meet again, this time for sure.
It's been fun guys.
Airing in 80 minutes.
I don't want it to end ;_:
How many of us got through? We were ~50 people watching this, weren't we?
Yeah I think it was around the 50 mark, Pretty sad because this show is some good stuff and I don't know why people missed out on it.
I'll miss you cute Rurumo, Is there a ping pong Webm of her yet?
One of my unexpected hits this season, that's for sure. Despite the premise, it hits a lot of fuzzy moments.
One thing I like is how protective Kouta gets of Rurumo. He really gets into the big brother role, not even in a pervy way.
Fucking ISP, how much did I miss?
Some things never change
It was quite sad when in the season rating thread the other day, easily 80% had said "n/a".
And this isn't one of those shows people may pick up by word of mouth after the season on how good it is.
There is continuation manga after hell chapter. It's newly serialized. I forget which magazine but it certainly exist. It tell the story between the 2 of them as couple and there is new magic student who admired rurumo and want to hear her story and relatioship.
Magimoji Rurumo: Hōkago no Mahō Chugakusei
run in monthly sirius from july 2013 till now. (not ended yet) 1 vol exist in this time.
Wet rurupantsu are best rurupantsu.
Their feet are like touching and stuff, gross.
the real question is when we're getting fushigi and ost
there's a thread up with anime-koi devs talking about type setting for the episode right now
someone able to spoil the manga?
Does she ever become a full witch again?
Does he use all of the tickets and die?
Does he grow old and they stay a couple together?
Wish the manga was translated
If I remember correctly I seen someone say
he dies but she brings him back somehow (don't remember if they said how) and they end up together and there's a spin off of their kid.Don't know about the full witch part.
In case you know: at which volume of the anime is the manga going to end? I recently started translating the Makai-hen stuff, but if there's anything in the other volumes that wasn't covered by the anime, I'd like to get on that as well.
Hm, makes sense, I guess - let me rephrase the question: are there any major plot points that were(/will have been, seeing as I haven't watched the newest episode yet) omitted?
fuck, i was going to post this one.
Deadfish re-encodes other releases, anon. Anime-Koi will probably get it out first though. Most likely tonight or tomorrow morning.
Koi will have their rushed tl out first
ddy's tl will be last, but i find their script to be the best
deadfish just re-encode other peoples work, so they can never be first
all the webm's I find are too fucking big
there were way more during the jikan thread, there's easily 100+, people just tend to not be very vocal when it comes to rurumo, whether they like it or passed it.
Kouta uses all of the tickets and dies, his soul is sent to the underworld, Rurumo becomes a full witch again but promptly gives up everything to steal Kouta's soul back. After a bunch of shenanigans, Kouta's soul is back in his body and they become a couple. The manga is still ongoing but in its third part (the anime only covers half of the first part)
the anime put the manga into a pseudo chronological order since the show starts in the spring and ends on new years. In the manga itself it doesn't matter because the first part is entirely episodic.
what are you talking about we were all smiles and sunshine
now this was a nice way to end it, that last scene was 2spooky though
specifically, this last scene foreshadows the ending in a typical Japanese way
Kouta tells Rurumo he's sorry that he promised to help finish her job but hasn't but but that from now on they'll..... and then the clock turns to 4, which in Japanese of course means death. The clock could also be the fact that Rurumo has a timer on her job, it's an anime original scene so I'm not sure what they're hinting at. Season 2 bait maybe ;_;
The only thing that was interrupted was Kouta talking about Rurumo's job that she still has to do. It wasn't like a confession scene or anything.
>[Anime-Koi] Majimoji Rurumo - 12 [h264-720p][ECA9A0D3].mkv
>subs before midnight
it'll survive till tomorrow because of that one guy but then he usually dies around the 300 post mark.
Seriously fuck you guys almost 80 posts are always mine.
Dis bitch fucking crazy.
Thanks for all your hard work post-anon.
not if you're Teekyuu
>mfw s4 already announced
Dam that last episode made me so happy. When will S4 come out?
At least it will be our hidden gem anon.
Rurumo is too adorable. Even caring enough to remember that he wanted to see her surprised reaction.
I need my season two or translated manga, man.
since its the last episode, obligatory never animated ending
Rurumo is too cute. I can't take it.
I'm taking you all with me.
during the 2nd manga
Rurumo wipes everyones memory of her when Kouta dies because she has to leave to become a witch again. She eventually transfers back to the school again and they're also seniors now so they don't think she's his sister anymore.
WHAT THE FUCK?
i just can't stand all those feels...
Not much longer now....
>show was so unpopular it couldn't afford to have end cards for every episode
>the ones we do have are almost all drawn by the author himself
that was a hard one, if from the start no one confused with S2, it would have be good, but the confusion build hype that was destroyed without mercy
at least we have S3 of Working
Does this anime have any censor at all? Should I wait for the BD release?
while this is probably no something close to nichijou, it was good, Japan tend to ignore all the gold they have in the animation industrie and give all the attention to shits like naruto
Since Izumi's a side character they couldn't fit her chapter in but the time she let Sakurai escape, that was done a bit differently in the manga.
She actually liked him for a while and they knew each other before coming to this school. Then we get the she has no confidence in herself, everyone sees her as the scary member of the student council, etc so she never told Sakurai of her feelings nor wrote her name on the chocolates she made him. But of course Sakurai realizes it as her chocolates have a special aroma and during the chapter she runs off and Sakurai catches the aroma. Things happen and then picture related.
it was still pretty damn lewd
If there is a god who is kind, there will be either translations or S2.
IT'LL NEVER HAPPEN AND I'M SO SAD
I wonder if they ever got Rurumo any new underwear, she had the same prints on them the entire show.
my AOTS is over :(
after this, I really want a anime of this, we just need a couple more mangas
Majo no Shinzou needs an adaption
>witch with no hat
Any other moments you guys want immortalized in webm?
Man, I haven't had this empty feeling in my chest after finishing an anime in a long time.
I hope we'll get a second season, although I know there's hardly a chance of it happening.
Anyways, are these cameos? They seemed sorta detailed for just bg characters.
its about an immortal witch who wanders around looking for her heart which was taken by her sister. The artwork is gorgeous and its a medieval fantasy genre. Her lantern is a dragon that fell in love with her and transformed into a lantern as part of their contract.
It's kind of a like a loli witch version of Mushishi since she wanders around dealing with fairy tale problems people have, but at the same time, she's also a fairy tale herself, known as the witch with no heart (she's like 600 years old).
excuse the mangahere since batoto is down
We will never see Rurumo ever again.
Manga will never get translated.
it's a cameo from the third manga, which is kind of funny since this is two years after this scene
A decent ending and a really mean S2 teaser
those three girls are the new MC, Rurumo is more of a side character now. She also got an upgraded hat since she went up like 11 ranks.
Man, the finale really made me warm and fuzzy inside, no words can express how beautiful it was. Shibazaki may be a pervert, but he's actually a nice and thoughtful person when he decided to work part-time just to rent the kimono for Rurumo. Needless to say she was so damn cute on that dress, not to mention their hand holding was lewd as fuck . Definitely the most underrated show this season, and I'll surely never forget how much I enjoyed this show. S2 when?
>they tease us with cameos of people past S1 when they'll never animate S2
>Last episode is about MC apologizing to Rurumo about her contract with him
>It's actually JC Staff apologizing for S2 never
Me on the middle.
why is her forehead so big?
depending of what class of yandere
is she is only obssesive, I dont think so, as she just will keep trying, if she is the possessive kind, shit will hit the fan, even more if a rival appears
this does kinda count as a teaser, doesn't it
specifically, Rurumo is a rank 13 witch at the start of the manga (the very lowest) and is currently a rank 2 witch. Harulily is rank 1, it's also indicated by the insides of their cape which has a number in it. Funny thing is, the higher rank witches don't often wear hats.
I just finished, and it was awesome, I still got a smile on my face, the whole series just made me happy and smiling the whole time, I'm glad I picked this up
the clock is just part of the chapter, it's another foreshadow of the ending of the manga
Kouta was planning to never use the last wish ticket so Rurumo would never have to leave him but Rurumo only has a set amount of time to make Kouta use up all the tickets.
If anything, she has a genki personality who is head over heels for the FHK president until the end of time.
that's why they'll never achieve rank 0 witch status, in which only experienced hat wearers focus the true power of the witch hat to reach ultimate potential, wear as false hat wearers are quickly crushed under the weight to prove their falsehood
hearing that the series isn't doing well just makes me want to order the bd's that much more, I just want to believe
all this rurumo
today is a good day
is there a name for this back of the neck, hair strand thing? I've seen it on other characters, seems like a beauty mark type of thing
for shame, the love was aparent from the very beggining
you have good taste
In some places it's still viewed as a beauty symbol. I think it was a bigger thing in Japan back in the day when all the women were wearing that weird hair get up because it was a sign of wealth or something.
>dropped this after the first episode.
>it'll survive till tomorrow because of that one guy but then he usually dies around the 300 post mark.
The poor guy.
i'll say it now, rurumo is some god tier character design, it was one thing in the beginning where despite how cute she was in the op/ed, you didn't know much about her and she stayed mostly quiet.
As the series went on though, not only did she change, but seeing her laugh and cry, breaking out of her quiet character couldn't have been more natural
and her fucking design, it's so fucking simple, but it just works, it's a stroke of genius
well today's thread has been particularly active for once so he won't have to do all the heavy lifting by himself, but eventually he gets tired of talking to himself and then he dies only to reborn for the next episode
which means he's dead since no s2
rurumo is love
you take that back, the first half of the first episode was amazing. The second half was kind of shitty though.
I have the same exact feels. Oddly coincidental.
At least Rurumo has a decent length manga series behind it and GJ-bu has the light novels too I guess.
Faggot president didn't even show up to hang out with his friends.
Another coincidence is those are also my two anime of the season for this year as well. Hilarious webm as well.
The ultimate coincidence will be when I see you in the last episode thread for our anime of the season for winter.
He was pretty boss though. After having to deal with Kouta's perverted antics all of the time, it's actually relieving to see someone dedicated and strong-willed who doesn't let the bitches get in the way.
I'll be waiting, anon.
Not as long as I'll be waiting for this manga to be translated though.
Detailed Manga Plot Spoiler Time!
The first manga series ends in a big downer. In the final chapter Kouta is torn between helping Rurumo by using up his last ticket, but not wanting to die. Just as Rurumo says goodbye and is about to leave forever, Kouta hugs her and says he's made up his mind about his last wish.
Before he could say what it is though, he sees a loli wandering out into the streets chasing after a balloon, just as a big truck is speeding down the road. Kouta rushes out to the streets to grab the loli and tells Rurumo his last wish is for her to rescue the little girl. Rurumo says his wish has been granted, Kouta saves the kid and then falls down, the last ticket in the book turning to dust.
The second manga series starts off with majorly depressing too. It's Kouta's funeral. Every character we've met before shows up in this chapter to attend the funeral, a few of the girls at school interrupt the funeral and say that there's no way this pervert is actually dead, it must just be an elaborate practical joke. Rurumo seems to still be expressionless as usual, but in her mind she's flash backing to all the time she spent with Kouta and the fact that the tickets were actually using up his life. She keeps it together up until the part where they're about to incinerate Kouta's body (Japanese usually cremate their dead), and she tells them to stop while crying just as the door to the incinerator closes. Her cat tells her that her first mission as a Witch is to wipe the memories of Rurumo from every human here.
Wow, that was a fun and heart-warming ending.
>Rurumo sees a kimono she wants to wear
>Kouta spends his winter vacation part-timing just to surprise her with a rental
I'm going to miss this glorious nigga
So, um... you got more.
I'm dying to know what happens during the second manga arc, and how she gets Kouta's soul back. Especially after that whole, even magic can't bring back a dead person bit in the cat episode.
Chapter 2 starts off with Rurumo putting on her witch robe and hat and walking off. She bids goodbye to Kouta's family. Kouta's mom says that she's her daughter, where is she going, and to stop acting strange and sit down and have dinner as a family. Kouta's mom is in tears again as Rurumo leaves, before her memory is wiped and she doesn't remember her anymore.
Rurumo goes about wiping everyone else in town's memory one by one before she heads back to hell.
In Chapter 3 we get to see hell. Kouta's soul has turned into a crystalized form and is being carried by a golem over to a big row of other similar soul crystals, like a big battery farm. The witch in charge of the souls notices that Kouta's soul has an odd color and picks it up. And then... picture happens. Even as a soul, Kouta's a pervert.
Rurumo is back in hell as well, and is filing out a mountain of paperwork about her days on Earth. Haruriri shows up and talks to her, and seeing Rurumo depressed informs her that "you must really have loved him." Rurumo denies it, but Haruriri insists, and then tells Rurumo that since she's a 1st class witch, she knows where all the human souls are kept. She offers to help Rurumo see Kouta again.
Rurumo and Harulili break into the soul storage facility. There's a flashback to Rurumo's childhood, where we see that her mom was sick, and Rurumo became a witch to cure her with magic. She found out on the day of her graduation that her mom had already passed away, and her last wish was to not let Rurumo find out until she finishes witch training so as not to distract her.
They reach the soul storage but there's hundreds of souls, and Rurumo can't find where Kouta's soul is. They spy on some of the witches that work there, and overhear "Watch out for the soul in 15049, it can move around and for some reason it keeps groping my butt or chest". Rurumo figure out that must be Kouta and co find box 15049. They get discovered by the golems and have to fight their way out, including two 1st class witches that work in the soul storage. They manage to escape, and Rurumo opens up the box to say goodbye to Kouta, only to find... see picture.
Knowing this makes it hurt even more since we'll never have it translated or get a Season 2
there's also this great yandere moment from Rurumo.
>But, I... will always be with you...
>clock hits 4 with an ominous sound
Thank you so much, spoilerfags, I would be too worried about what happens next if you didn't say everything would be daijoubu.
Rurumo was the cutest thing, she will be another character from this season I'll miss a lot.
Rurumo is depressed since Kouta seems to be gone forever. She starts burying herself with work. She gets another assignment to go back to Earth, and two 7th class witches get angry at her, wondering why a 13th class witch would get chosen before them. They bully Rurumo, who basically just takes it. Just as she stumbles out into the streets, all battered and wondered what's the point of it all, she suddenly sees... Kouta!
It turns out Harulili's cat, Mimi, snuck in and stole Kouta's soul several days earlier, and also built an artificial body for the soul to inhabit.
Mimi was planning to steal Kouta and plant him into her puppets so that he would love her forever, but the first thing Kouta does is ask where Rurumo is, and Mimi at that point knows she already lost and gives up.
Finally reunited, Rurumo invites Kouta back to her home, where she makes him some tea. The tea gets spilled by accident, the two of them end up on the floor with Kouta lying on top of her. He gets embaressed and runs off, and Rurumo catches up to him and tells him to never leave her sight again, because she's afraid he'll vanish forever.
After this we get about 15 chapters of fantasy antics in hell. There's still comedy, but there's also a decent amount of action, witch on witch fighting, politico conspiracy, and quite a lot of "look at the author go all out with this weird fantasy setting"
I'm too lazy to recap the rest of it though, maybe another day.
Mimi is the best cat
>you can see the exact frame where her heart breaks
Then make some more!
But fine. On Chapter 9 now...
Kouta is really conspicious (remember, there's only girls in hell) so he goes back to Mimi to ask for another body that he can walk around outside with. Mimi proceeds to chain him to the wall but he sweet talks her into helping him, and he ends up with a cute girl body. And of course Kouta uses it to go to a bathhouse and feels up random girls.
But as it turns out, the higher class witches are out looking for whoever broke into the soul facility. Kouta nearly gets arrested at the bath house. (He thinks it's cause he was acting like a pervert, but it's cause the girl who's the model for his body is also a 13th class witch like Rurumo.) He manages to escape, but at the same time Rurumo bumps into a whole team of upper class witches who want to question her about the break-in.
first two parts sound depressing as hell, then really sweet after. I would love to read the full story. Thank you for the summary though anon.
Who is Mimi though? The name isn't ringing a bell.
Mimi is Harulily's cat, she can transform like Chiro and falls in love with Kouta.
Gonna speed up recap now.
Chapter 10, Kouta and Harulili found out that Rurumo got arrested. Her sentence? Death. They thought the punishment is a bit too high for just stealing one soul, but it turns out she's being framed. They're holding her responsible for the theft of over a thousand souls.
Chapter 11. Kouta breaks into prison, somehow becomes superman and breaks out Rurumo. See pic.
Chapter 12. The gang is on the rule from all the guards. They can't use magic while in the castle due to anti-magic thingies. Just as they're cornered, Mimi comes in to save the day with a giant ass golem. They manage to get away, but there's only one path to go to escape. They head back to Earth!
I just started trying to learn Japanese literally an hour ago. But I think I can make out what she's saying. Basically something like I'm a cat but I like you. See ya. Then Kouta reacts like wut?
Wow, I can't believe I'm seeing progress so soon. I can read names and anime titles too. No one ever told me it'd be this easy. At this rate, I should be able to read the whole thing by tomorrow.
Chapter 13 - We see what the rest of the classmates back on Earth have been adjusting to Kouta's death. Tanako manages to regain her memories of Rurumo despite the magic.
Chapter 14 - The guards chasing after Rurumo and Kouta give up for now. We find out that Rurumo and Haruliliy forced the gate to Earth open, but due to the RULES(tm) if the guards want to chase after them they need to get 149 different authorizations and it would take at least 30 days. The head guard and evil looking chick in a mask says to stall for time for now, and to prepare two charred bodies.
Kouta's fake body breaks up into pieces when they fall down to Earth, but Mimi packed a spare. It was the girl body. Kouta tries to go home but his family doesn't recognize him in that body.
Chapter 15 - The gang breaks into the school at night, since they have no where to go. Tanako eventually finds them and they stay with whatshername. (I dunno if she was in the anime. Girl with long black hair? Her grandma was a witch?)
Chapter 16 - Harulili outlines their next move. They need to find a way back to Hell, and submit a petition to clear Rurumo's name. Kouta asks what good that'll do since it's clearly the higher ups framing Rurumo to begin with, but Harulili says they'll appeal to the highest authority in Hell, the Maoh.
Meanwhile, Harulili, Rurumo, and Kouta transfer into school with fake identities. Kouta takes on the name "Shibako". Being a true bro, Kouta gives his friends a bit of service.
Kouta tries to embaress them by hanging out with them, and then "accidentally" finding the ero-books he had stashed in school. To his surprise, his friends didn't get flustered like he thought, and very seriously told Shibako to put the books back, because it was something very important left behind by a dear friend of theirs.
[spoilers] Chapter 17 - Sempai at school instantly recognizes Kouta, even though his body's is a girl's. The witches start to work on making a portal back to Hell.
Most important thing this chapter is KOUTA FINALLY CONFESSES TO RURUMO!!!! And they kissu. It's a /u/ kissu since Kouta's still in a girl body.
Chapter 18 - Complete filler. Harulili's three lackey witches are given the day off, and given free coupons to karaoke. Since it's their first time on Earth, they have no idea what karaoke is, only that you can sing. They wander into an AKB concert by mistake thinking it's karaoke and get on stage.
Chapter 19 - Rurumo is completely freaking out after the kissu with Kouta. She spends the chapter basically blushing her face off as Kouta drags her out to do couple-y things, like hand holding and sharing a drink. It's super gay, since Kouta is a girl.
They go home and find out that pursuers from Hell arrived, and it's the two bullies that kept picking on Rurumo. They managed to knock out Harulili with some special equipment. Rurumo goes totally yandere and kicks their butt. Afterwards Rurumo and Kouta's relationship seem stronger than ever, and Mimi sees them and says she's pissed off at how close they seem and is going to split them apart. [/spoiler]
it's actually pretty touching, Kouta even cries right after
don't forget the best page
>yuri, in my rurumo?
Chapter 20 - The main attack force from Hell shows up, blows up their building. The witches have already fled though, and are ready to open up the portal at school. Kouta says goodbye to his friends and promises he'll be back in his own body.
We also get to see the big evil witch's face for the first time. She gets a long monologue about her evil plan. (It boils down to: blah blah overthrown the Maoh, become the new queen of hell, pin the blame on Rurumo right now to cover her tracks until she's ready for her coup).
Chapter 21 - Mostly action. Kouta and Rurumo land back in hell, escape some witches, steal some guard uniforms and sneak into the place.
Chapter 22 - Backstory. It's revealed that soylent green is people. Basically, all magic is powered by lives. Used to be that they could only use magic sparingly, due to the whole life thing. But then they discovered the portal to an alternate dimenson, Earth, which was overflowing with life. And so Hell prospered, no one ever got hungry or sick, at the cost of tons of people dying on earth. So to stop witches from just indeiscriminately taking human lives the Maoh created a system, which would restrict the use a magic and only collect the lives of contractors.
Evil lady reveals that she's unhappy with the system because when she was younger, she saved the life of a boy with magic even though he didn't make a wish or contract. She got punished for it by having her face branded. (it's a pretty dumb backstory).
Chapter ends with Rurumo and Kouta finally reaching the throne room of the Maoh, just as evil scar lady unleashes her master plan. A special wand that lets her use magic even in the anti-magic zone around the palace. (It's basically a wand strapped to a giant tank that has a ton of souls as batteries). [/spoilers]
Almost done here. Since I'm fucking up the spoiler tags so much I'm giving up on them.
So evil bitch lady blows up the throne, says she's the maoh now, and plans to pin the assasination on Rurumo and have a big public execution.
Then the real maoh shows up, completely unharmed. And it turns out she's... the loli with the balloon that Kouta died saving. Because wtf.
Loli maoh beats up all the bad guys and save the day. Kouta asks if she can use her magic to bring him back to life, and she reveals that she was expecting something like this, so she secretly stole Kouta's real body before it was cremated.
Kouta is alive again. Rurumo bids him farewell because he's going back to Earth and she's a witch again. Kouta ends up back home, and explains to everyone: "Turns out he wasn't dead, he got better before they cremated him, got out of his coffin and wandered around with amnesia for a while."
His friends and family are overjoyed to see him again. He's back a school and then there's a new transfer student. It's Rurumo. Kouta asks if it's really her, she says yes. They kiss and that's the end.
In the epilogue 4koma, Kouta asks where she's staying now, and Rurumo reveals she now lives next door to Kouta. And Mimi shows up and reveals she lives one door down.
Okay, new series. I am NOT going to do a in depth recap. Basic summary only. New series stars three new witches, these girls here. Premise is this. Rurumo is now a rank 2 witch, in charge of overseeing these three rank 13 dumbos. Their mission is to research a new form of magic that doesn't involve using people's lives. They each have a magic book, which they can use to create magic words, which can be captured when they hear a human say something with real "meaning". So things with a lot of intent, like say, hearthfelt confessions, or truly angry curses etc etc. They three witches are sent to middle school to collect the magic words. Rurumo is a teacher at their school, and Kouta (who doesn't show up until several chapters later) is a university student.
Chinese scans are up to chp 12 right now. Currently the baka-trio messed up a spell and travelled back in time, to when Kouta was still in high school and Rurumo is living next door.
Thank you for doing the summaries, anon.
Oh man that was glorious, That Rurumo reaction was too fucking cute.
You did good JC Staff, I really enjoyed this.
Good bye Rurumo ;_;
Good job anon. People like you make threads the best.
>as in evil
My revelation can't be this understandable!
