Kouta uses all of the tickets and dies, his soul is sent to the underworld, Rurumo becomes a full witch again but promptly gives up everything to steal Kouta's soul back. After a bunch of shenanigans, Kouta's soul is back in his body and they become a couple. The manga is still ongoing but in its third part (the anime only covers half of the first part)

Since Izumi's a side character they couldn't fit her chapter in but the time she let Sakurai escape, that was done a bit differently in the manga.

She actually liked him for a while and they knew each other before coming to this school. Then we get the she has no confidence in herself, everyone sees her as the scary member of the student council, etc so she never told Sakurai of her feelings nor wrote her name on the chocolates she made him. But of course Sakurai realizes it as her chocolates have a special aroma and during the chapter she runs off and Sakurai catches the aroma. Things happen and then picture related.

its about an immortal witch who wanders around looking for her heart which was taken by her sister. The artwork is gorgeous and its a medieval fantasy genre. Her lantern is a dragon that fell in love with her and transformed into a lantern as part of their contract.

It's kind of a like a loli witch version of Mushishi since she wanders around dealing with fairy tale problems people have, but at the same time, she's also a fairy tale herself, known as the witch with no heart (she's like 600 years old).

Man, the finale really made me warm and fuzzy inside, no words can express how beautiful it was. Shibazaki may be a pervert, but he's actually a nice and thoughtful person when he decided to work part-time just to rent the kimono for Rurumo. Needless to say she was so damn cute on that dress, not to mention their hand holding was lewd as fuck . Definitely the most underrated show this season, and I'll surely never forget how much I enjoyed this show. S2 when?

i'll say it now, rurumo is some god tier character design, it was one thing in the beginning where despite how cute she was in the op/ed, you didn't know much about her and she stayed mostly quiet.

As the series went on though, not only did she change, but seeing her laugh and cry, breaking out of her quiet character couldn't have been more natural

and her fucking design, it's so fucking simple, but it just works, it's a stroke of genius

Detailed Manga Plot Spoiler Time!

The first manga series ends in a big downer. In the final chapter Kouta is torn between helping Rurumo by using up his last ticket, but not wanting to die. Just as Rurumo says goodbye and is about to leave forever, Kouta hugs her and says he's made up his mind about his last wish.

Before he could say what it is though, he sees a loli wandering out into the streets chasing after a balloon, just as a big truck is speeding down the road. Kouta rushes out to the streets to grab the loli and tells Rurumo his last wish is for her to rescue the little girl. Rurumo says his wish has been granted, Kouta saves the kid and then falls down, the last ticket in the book turning to dust.

The second manga series starts off with majorly depressing too. It's Kouta's funeral. Every character we've met before shows up in this chapter to attend the funeral, a few of the girls at school interrupt the funeral and say that there's no way this pervert is actually dead, it must just be an elaborate practical joke. Rurumo seems to still be expressionless as usual, but in her mind she's flash backing to all the time she spent with Kouta and the fact that the tickets were actually using up his life. She keeps it together up until the part where they're about to incinerate Kouta's body (Japanese usually cremate their dead), and she tells them to stop while crying just as the door to the incinerator closes. Her cat tells her that her first mission as a Witch is to wipe the memories of Rurumo from every human here.

I'm dying to know what happens during the second manga arc, and how she gets Kouta's soul back. Especially after that whole, even magic can't bring back a dead person bit in the cat episode.

Chapter 2 starts off with Rurumo putting on her witch robe and hat and walking off. She bids goodbye to Kouta's family. Kouta's mom says that she's her daughter, where is she going, and to stop acting strange and sit down and have dinner as a family. Kouta's mom is in tears again as Rurumo leaves, before her memory is wiped and she doesn't remember her anymore.

Rurumo goes about wiping everyone else in town's memory one by one before she heads back to hell.

In Chapter 3 we get to see hell. Kouta's soul has turned into a crystalized form and is being carried by a golem over to a big row of other similar soul crystals, like a big battery farm. The witch in charge of the souls notices that Kouta's soul has an odd color and picks it up. And then... picture happens. Even as a soul, Kouta's a pervert.

Rurumo is back in hell as well, and is filing out a mountain of paperwork about her days on Earth. Haruriri shows up and talks to her, and seeing Rurumo depressed informs her that "you must really have loved him." Rurumo denies it, but Haruriri insists, and then tells Rurumo that since she's a 1st class witch, she knows where all the human souls are kept. She offers to help Rurumo see Kouta again.

Rurumo and Harulili break into the soul storage facility. There's a flashback to Rurumo's childhood, where we see that her mom was sick, and Rurumo became a witch to cure her with magic. She found out on the day of her graduation that her mom had already passed away, and her last wish was to not let Rurumo find out until she finishes witch training so as not to distract her.

They reach the soul storage but there's hundreds of souls, and Rurumo can't find where Kouta's soul is. They spy on some of the witches that work there, and overhear "Watch out for the soul in 15049, it can move around and for some reason it keeps groping my butt or chest". Rurumo figure out that must be Kouta and co find box 15049. They get discovered by the golems and have to fight their way out, including two 1st class witches that work in the soul storage. They manage to escape, and Rurumo opens up the box to say goodbye to Kouta, only to find... see picture.

Finally reunited, Rurumo invites Kouta back to her home, where she makes him some tea. The tea gets spilled by accident, the two of them end up on the floor with Kouta lying on top of her. He gets embaressed and runs off, and Rurumo catches up to him and tells him to never leave her sight again, because she's afraid he'll vanish forever.

After this we get about 15 chapters of fantasy antics in hell. There's still comedy, but there's also a decent amount of action, witch on witch fighting, politico conspiracy, and quite a lot of "look at the author go all out with this weird fantasy setting"

I'm too lazy to recap the rest of it though, maybe another day.

Mimi proceeds to chain him to the wall but he sweet talks her into helping him, and he ends up with a cute girl body. And of course Kouta uses it to go to a bathhouse and feels up random girls.

But as it turns out, the higher class witches are out looking for whoever broke into the soul facility. Kouta nearly gets arrested at the bath house. (He thinks it's cause he was acting like a pervert, but it's cause the girl who's the model for his body is also a 13th class witch like Rurumo.) He manages to escape, but at the same time Rurumo bumps into a whole team of upper class witches who want to question her about the break-in.

Chapter 10, Kouta and Harulili found out that Rurumo got arrested. Her sentence? Death. They thought the punishment is a bit too high for just stealing one soul, but it turns out she's being framed. They're holding her responsible for the theft of over a thousand souls.

Chapter 11. Kouta breaks into prison, somehow becomes superman and breaks out Rurumo. See pic.

Chapter 12. The gang is on the rule from all the guards. They can't use magic while in the castle due to anti-magic thingies. Just as they're cornered, Mimi comes in to save the day with a giant ass golem. They manage to get away, but there's only one path to go to escape. They head back to Earth!
