It can definitely get another 12 episode anime again since S1 of Darkness adapted relatively around 20 chapters (including the bonuses and chapter 28 of Kyouko getting hard with Rito). There is about 25~ chapters they can adapt without including the bangaihens for the TLR OVAs.
