she disappeared in may 2015 from a holiday hostel in Stendal, Saxony Germany.
She was there with her family and befriended families. She and other children went into the wood to collect wood for a barbecue. She never came back. The other kids don't seem to know what happened.
Police, random people and dogs combed through the whole area and turned every stone in the wood, yet did not find her or any tracks of her. As if she's never been in the wood. But they found a track that lead till Berlin.
At the same place was also an rehab institute for mentally ill people.
That case really freaked me out had to remember it when I read about Madeleine McCann here

What I found strange that the other children haven't seen anything.
Older children must notice if someone from the group is suddenly missing or not?
Then there were so many people who wanted to help, that they build a human chain that was so tight, that they even found a barrette (not hers) in the wood. Police drained ponds to look if she had drowned.
But absolutley nothing.
My theory is someone abducted her and since it was a holidy home where children can run free all day, no body noticed quickly enough that she was gone and the parents just thought she would be with the other kids
