Twin Peaks was based on Missoula. Most of Montana has a homey small town vibe, but Missoula has always been creepy af. A LOT of pedophiles, and other weird shit going on in that city. The University there is filled with retard social justice warriors that would get their asses beat if they ever left the city limits. A lot of people don't seem to notice the weirdness. They think Missoula is "quaint" and "cozy". Other people can "smell" the wrongness the second they come to town.
