>ITT we realize that flat earth is probably bullshit but hollow earth isn't

>"It turns out that roughly 68% of the universe is dark energy. Dark matter makes up about 27%. The rest - everything on Earth, everything ever observed with all of our instruments, all normal matter - adds up to less than 5% of the universe."

NASA compensates for gravity by claiming the existence of immeasurable, invisible particles. There's not enough visible mass in the universe for gravity to function. Flat earthers claim gravity doesn't exist, or that gravity is a universal "downward" force. I'm no physicist, but neither really seem practical. I'd sooner believe that the planets/stars themselves are the sources of gravity.

My point in this is that concave earth is often considered impractical because according to gravity, and how we believe the earth was formed, it seems impossible. But an intelligent person will eventually comes to the realization that there is a creator of some sort, and the only reason we are adamant the earth is solid is its how we were raised.

>"As you heat a magnet you supply it with more thermal energy, so the individual electron spins (like tiny magnets themselves) become more likely to be in high-energy states, pointing oppositely to their neighbors. That means that they're less lined up so the total magnetism is reduced."
The great hypotheses based on seismographs rely on the idea that the earth's magnetic poles rely on molten magnetic magma.

>"The main evidence for the structure of the Earth comes from studying waves generated during an earthquake...if we have enough seismic stations and the quake is big enough, then we can take all the travel time information and invert it. That means we can obtain a graph that shows the density of rock as a function of depth."

I'm not an expert, clearly, but to me it sounds like we don't have enough information.

We've dug into the earth some 12km, and the estimated radius of the earth is 6371.393km. We've chipped away at .19% of the earth. The other 99.9981165814% is theory based on seismographs, which are only measuring the waves created by earthquakes, which occur at the crust (1% of the earth's estimated size). We are using a wave that originates in our 1% of the planet to estimate the remaining 99%. Anything beyond that 1% is theoretical, arguably more than that.

In addition, we also estimate the total mass of the earth based on other celestial bodies, but what is our constant? Did we put the moon on a scale? The sun? What can one person say about gravity/mass when we can only see 5% of the universe in general?

If we can't find enough matter to account for gravity, and we can't dig even .2% into the earth, there's no possibility of knowing what's beyond the crust.
>>

>>
>>19552775

Argh. This shit fucked up my vision.
>>
>>19551927
full circle
>>
>>19552812
Also worth clarifying, the 5% I refer to isn't limited to what we've seen in telescopes. No; what I mean to say is that through observing the movement of other galaxies/stars, there isn't enough mass to explain their velocities. And so the idea of dark matter:
>"To hold the elements of the universe together, dark matter must make up approximately 80 percent of its matter."
and dark energy:
>This would only be possible if the universe contained enough energy to overcome gravity"
...are theorized to hold the fragile theory together.

I'm more inclined to believe that because they had to make up all the numbers used to estimate the size and makeup of the universe, things aren't going to be drawn quite to scale, and the estimations will be completely wrong.

>Why fake the shape of earth??

I suspect is has to do with new land discoveries, possible other lifeforms that have better advancements in technology.

If the earth is a sphere, theres nowhere else to bother exploring. It also creates a one-world religion of scientific explanation.

Considering the earth is flat, it raises a lot of uncomfortable questions, not just about lies but the reality of what we exist on.

Think about it, what if instead of planets, there were just islands to be discovered? There would be new plants, new fungi, new minerals, new food, new creatures, NEW EVERYTHING!!!

This is a scary concept. Modern science is less of a skeptics tool and more of a world religion.

If you try to redefine what others perceive as reality, it incites questions of the unknown which creates fear and contempt.

Its comfy to assume with know everything and that scientists have tackled all the hard questions. Living on a ball rather than an infinite plane greatly reduces those questions.

The accepted curve is 8(miles squared)
or
8in.(distance in miles^2)

Which means to take the square root of the distance traveled in miles and then multiply that figure by eight inches.

So for example, if you traveled one mile, the formula would look something like this;

8(1×1) = 8 Inches of total curvature

And for the first ten miles traveled of curvature in inches…

8(1×1) = 8 Inches of total curvature
8(2×2) = 32 Inches of total curvature
8(3×3) = 72 Inches of total curvature
8(4×4) = 128 Inches of total curvature
8(5×5) = 200 Inches of total curvature
8(6×6) = 288 Inches of total curvature
8(7×7) = 392 Inches of total curvature
8(8×8) = 512 Inches of total curvature
8(9×9) = 648 Inches of total curvature
8(10×10) = 800 Inches of total curvature

Yet we can't measure any curvature AT ALL!!

How can you explain the Midnight Sun?

https://youtu.be/LjvtmzbEgm8

>During Arctic summer, from the 22nd to the 25th of June, at a high enough latitude and altitude, you can watch a phenomenon known as “the Midnight Sun” where the Sun stays continuously visible in the sky for 3 days straight! The “Midnight Sun” rises on the 22nd and for the next 72 hours never disappears from sight, slowly ascending and descending every 12 hours, showing 3 brilliant “sunsets” and “sunrises” without ever actually setting below the horizon. If the Earth were actually a spinning globe revolving around the Sun, the only place such a phenomenon as the Midnight Sun could be observed would be at the poles. Any other vantage point from 89 degrees latitude downwards could never, regardless of any tilt or inclination, see the Sun for 24 hours straight. To see the Sun for an entire revolution on a spinning globe at a point other than the poles, you would have to be looking through miles and miles of land and sea for part of the revolution! Anyone below the 89th parallel could never witness the Sun for 72 hours, 3 whole revolutions, straight because to do so would be to assume you are somehow seeing “through the globe” and to the Sun on the other side! Since such an assumption is ridiculous, and yet the Midnight Sun can clearly be seen as low as the 65 parallel, this is another absolute proof that Earth is the flat, stationary center of the universe.

How many times has the distance of the sun changed?

NASA's astronomical figures always sound perfectly precise, but heliocentrists have historically been notorious for regularly and drastically changing them to suit their various models. For instance, in his time Nicolas Copernicus calculated the Sun’s distance from Earth to be 3,391,200 miles. The next century Johannes Kepler decided it was actually 12,376,800 miles away. Issac Newton once said, “It matters not whether we reckon it 28 or 54 million miles distant for either would do just as well!” How scientific!? Benjamin Martin calculated between 81 and 82 million miles, Thomas Dilworth claimed 93,726,900 miles, John Hind stated positively 95,298,260 miles, Benjamin Gould said more than 96 million miles, and Christian Mayer thought it was more than 104 million! Nowadays they have settled around 93 million for the time-being.

I'm thinking about this as a fantasy setting. Perhaps the "evil" elites have a very good reason to keep the existence of the world beyond a secret. Those outer worlds are populated with hostile lifeforms, extremely advanced civilizations and/or deadly disease, and humans are defenseless against this. Careless explorers could cause a mass extinction by bringing something from those outer world back.
It seems a lot wiser to prevent all contact until humanity is suffice3ntly advanced.
Maybe The Thing was a warning about what dangers that lie beyond Antarctica.

Fish eye lenses are making the field of view wider to capture a bigger picture dickhead. They will distort the image in a way that the Earth will look round or flat or concave depending where you will point the camera. The point of using them is to capture a bigger picture, not to deceive faggots like you.

There is literally no reason for somebody faking the shape of our planet. What these people would gain from that? Help a nigga out and tell me the purpose of that huge lie.
>>
>>19554509
This is a composite of pictures taken by a satellite. We don't have satellites high enough so they could take a picture of the whole earth. It is only natural for the people that stick together these pictures to make mistakes. Especially that they have to work with thousands of huge pictures provided to them. They're only human after all.

Also clouds move if you didn't know that.

Maybe because as time goes are technology and science advances. Because of that we have better tools and ways to measure and calculate the actual distance. I bet in a 50 years the consensus on the distance of the sun to the earth will change for the reason stated above.

There is also the fact that we move on a ellipse, that makes it harder to measure the distance because it constantly changes. I might be wrong so call me out on that but if I recall correctly the Earth moves away from the Sun every year by a few centimeters.

There are certainly deep caverns filled with remnants of ancient civilizations. Here is Ireland there are Albino humanoids living beneath great mounds hundreds of metres below the ground. They used to kidnap Irish children, which led to the changeling and Daoine sidhe myths. The Irish government was told by the Americans to cover it up. Think white walkers from Game of thrones that's what the Irish mound people look like, no made of ice though obviously.

While Aliens most certainly exist, the creatures underground are just a different form of human, a remnant of a bygone age.

OK, I'll bite.

>How do satellites not fucking melt in the thermosphere at 1500+ degrees??

In the thermosphere the temperature reaches about 1500 degrees Celsius, you are correct on that. What you don't consider is the pressure in that layer of the atmosphere. The thermosphere is a low pressure environment which prevents the satellites from melting or even overheating.

>Where are the REAL pictures of satellites? How come you never see the THOUSANDS in any pictures/footage of earth in orbit?

Probably because they at a similar altitude as the other satellites. Just stand up and look directly at the floor, you won't see the window or the door that are next to you in your room. The same goes for the satellites. Add to that the fact that satellite cameras have a limited view of field.

Also, if I would be the one that makes the full earth pictures, I wouldn't want a satellite to ruin the whole picture. Especially that the satellite would look huge considering their methods of making these pictures.

These pretty pictures are made look the exact reason to look pretty, the're not scientific evidence for the Earths shape.

You don't see satellites pictures because there are no people to take them and there is no purpose to take photos of dead metal boxes in space.

But you have a lot of pictures of the ISS which you can see in this poorly shopped image of yours.

You don't pay NASA to disprove your ridiculous claims. You pay them to do their research and keep these fuckers rich.

Thats Armstrong space suit, yes, but the one who left the footprints and take the photos was Aldrin and he wear the an extra protection boots (large overshoes, with treaded soles) since lunar dust/Regolith was supossed to be dificult to gain traction, like snow.

Does nobody look at Amelia Earhart and see how awesome she was because she did this, and disappeared because of it? The flight paths look like this because the ocean skies are unpredictable and terrifying, so it's easier to just go around them. We have hundreds of missing planes right now in the Indian Ocean, too.

This was taken at the North Pole, where stars never set. Looking at Polaris, which is the center of this photograph (almost, it's the thicker white circle arc in the center), you can tell the shutter was left open about 8 hours. How? Well, if it was 24 hours, the circles would be complete, thanks to the nature of our rotation. I eyeballed the time off how far it arcs (just past the 1/4 mark, no?). Anybody who's seen and used this picture surely knows enough about it to know what I stated, correct?

not a flat earthy at all but that video is weird as fuck because think about it even in low gravity wouldn't physics work the same? As in when he fell shouldn't have bust ass seems at some points he was able to keep his top half up using only his ankle strength?

When I trip and fall I hit hard. Maybe I'm underestimating the gravity difference. I'm not sure but it is a weird video.

illusion only works because White is Black and Black is White.

White reflects EVERY color. therefore it is none. Nothing, 0 = Nilche or Black as you currently perceive it.

Black absorbs every color therefore it is everything. We are told white is no color and therefore believe this to be nothing while it reflects everything back at us.

Stare at the morning sun(totally safe within 1hr of sunrise) for 30 seconds. You are seeing all of the light reflect off of a black orb. watch it turn dark before your eyes.

I notice no one in this thread has properly addressed the question of why the fuck there would be a grand scale, multi-century long conspiracy to keep us from knowing why the Earth is flat but instead to trick us into thinking its round...because reasons.

>But they want to stop us from visiting the other islands in the giant Antartica Valhalla!

You're telling me that a species that, century after century, has fought over even the smallest speck of land for resources looked at these theoretical other places across this supposed ice wall and went 'nah we don't want nothin' to do with that, let's go invade fucking Poland again instead'. For Christ's sake, they're already talking about the possibilities of colonizing Mars. They want to colonize fucking Mars, a place with NO apparent resources that's 54 million km away from us, but these mumbo jumbo ice wall islands? Fuck THAT noise, you guys, that's SCARY.

"What are the stars?" said O'Brien indifferently. "They are bits of fire a few kilometers away. We could reach them if we wanted to. Or we could blot them out. The earth is the center of the universe. The sun and the stars go round it."

Winston made another convulsive movement. This time he did not say anything. O'Brien continued as though answering a spoken objection:

"For certain purposes, of course, that is not true. When we navigate the ocean, or when we predict an eclipse, we often find it convenient to assume that the earth goes round the sun and that the stars are millions upon millions of kilometers away. But what of it? Do you suppose it is beyond us to produce a dual system of astronomy? The stars can be near or distant, according as we need them. Do you suppose our mathematicians are unequal to that? Have you forgotten doublethink?"
