1. These threads exist daily for months now. It is only NORMAL that a regular thread will attract regular participants. Most threads on 4chan aren't regular threads so you can't compare. Also, the reason why I (and others) started picking up names was precisely because people got eachother confused and mixed up relies.

Furthermore, almost everyone of us only uses the name or trip ONLY here and doesn't bring into any other thread. If we wanted to shit it up and get attention we would post everywhere we can and use more active topics.

2. We aren't scientists trying to save the world and have to commit to 100% serious, NO-FUN-ALLOWED research and cold, nonpersonal conversations. 4chan is first and foremost to pass the time and distract yourself. No one is getting hurt, rules aren't broken.

3. And now to the most important reason: It's the nature of the beast.

Do you think there is enough evidence and material to discuss the topic of vampires for months hours and hours every day? A lot of the research depends on luck and the right contacts too, so all we can do is stay in contact, share what we know and keep the thread bumped here and there to possibly attract a new pair of eyes that can add some new information. The thread would be significantly more dead and (almost always) lurk at the bottom of the catalog without us keeping it active even through personal conversation.

All steps and progress we make needs a ton of PATIENCE. The topic of vampires doesn't allow anything else because it is so damn obscure.

Common sense. Based on what we can observe from this world we live in, it seems very unlikely that creatures that would be able to VIOLATE REALITY so tremendously would exist. Do you have any idea what it would mean just on a physical level for a creature to INSTANTLY shapeshift all their molecules into a different shape and then return back?
