there's a building in my city centre that has a symbol on a window, almost like a david star with an eye in the middle. at the entrance it says " the templar knight order" (in my country it's normal for apartment building to have weird names like for exaple "heimstaden or heim city" and so on.
me and a friend climbed up a garage roof, then a balcony, then into their stariwell. there were a bunch of apartments there, all with male names. we found a note stickied on a wall almost all the way down which said something like "do you want to join a community of men based off of religious, ethical and spiritual beliefs? then blalblalba"
did we just find a fucking cult?

There's three "Knights Templar" societies, two of which have SOME historical background (prob back to the 19th cent if they are lucky) and the third is a Facebook group making $$$ selling black nylon pilot jackets and polo shirts with "KT" logs to fat balding right-wingers and skinheads.
There's also Masonic Degrees of Knight Templar in some lodges.
You may have uncovered a FOURTH KT group - but ANY fool can all themselves "Knights Templar", as the name is a great bogeyman, or can be used as an all-encompassing framework for charlatanry.
