Live in ft. Wayne currently, Indy for a few years. Overall it's a bit odd sometimes, but generally not terrible. There are some places I've been to that are...Somewhere between off and completely uncomfortable to the point where I needed to leave immediately.

Places mainly. One that is pretty high on the list for me is a little lake town called North Manchester. During the vacation months it's pretty busy of course, but the off season it's really quiet. The lake itself gives me the creeps, and I've never been sure why.

Let's see...Little town in the middle of nowhere called Spencerville. They have an old, historic covered bridge up there that doesn't sit right with anyone I know. Personal experience, the last time I went up there I took a buddy of mine who had just moved to the area from the East coast. It was around dusk, after we got off work, but there was still enough light to see alright. We get up there and park in this little gravel lot they have set off to one side of the bridge with some benches and stuff. Tried to make it more..I dunno, cozy? Scenic? Whatever. We start walking down under the bridge, checking out all the stupid graffiti and whatnot, since it's one of the "hangout" spots for the kids in the area. There's actually one phrase that kinda stuck with me for some reason: "They are blind to our reason". No idea what it means, but it's stayed in my mind for the last 4 years or so.

So we head back up top and start heading across the bridge, checking out more graffiti and all, when we start hearing what sounds like low, deep growling coming from behind us. We turn around, nothing there, and keep walking. There's a road that runs parallel to the one the bridge is on, where they built the new bridge, so we figured it was a truck or something rolling by.

We get to the other side of the bridge, dick around over there for a bit. There's a set of steps that goes down to a wooded area on that side of the river, but it was getting dark so we didn't head down, and turned back to cross the bridge again. Got about halfway across when we heard that sound again, only it was louder and almost sounded like it was coming from behind us and off the sides of the bridge at the same time. We wandered over to one of the sides and looked out, but didn't see anything again and decided it was probably time to go. We turned around to head to the car, but out of nowhere there was this small pile of bones sitting in the middle of the bridge a few feet away from us.

I'm not an expert on bones or anything, but they didn't seem to be human that we could tell. Seemed like a couple bigger leg bones, and a few ribs. Didn't look too old, since they still had some meat left on them, but they weren't fresh, either. At that point, we decided it was best to get the hell out of there..

No idea if it was a dog, or a coyote or something, but we had no interest in finding out.

When I visited Connersvillle in the mid 80's there was a Serial Killer running around killing girls near Indianapolis. No woman went anywhere without a male escort the entire time I was there.

Other thing was people would have yard sales and leave all their junk on the lawn overnight and (here's the spoopy part) it would ALL be there the next morning!

My friends saw "a monster" in the back roads of Indiana. One night. Around the south east section, just outside of Henryville or some such.

I was driving and something prevented me from turning my head to the left to see what they saw. But I tell you, their screams were funny. Until they kept screaming, and. There was something primal about their expressions and voices. It caused me to punch the gas and start screaming too. To this day they swear they saw a monster. But we were on drugs. But hallucinations don't synchronize.

I've heard that there is some shit out in the woods. I've seen evidence of pagan altars, likely witch craft. I've talked with a sasquatch hunter, claimed they are somewhat active in the region. And... I've heard of some sort of amphibious hominid.

Mostly, there are highways, empty fields. And sometimes a haunt. Other states are better for spooky shit.
