/x/, I'm gonna spitball some stuff here. Tell me what you think:
We must worship the deep sea. Embrace the coming age, when the polar ice caps have melted and filled the oceans, and overflowed the now-coastal cities. Something exists down there, and it commands the very earth beneath us. Also, it is our only true salvation. What surface-level events take place will be of no extinction-tier consequence to us down below. The ocean surface will be a natural shield from almost all things.
Perhaps not our home, but our salvation, our one true chance for survival, lies down below, in the hostile, hellish abyss.

That's not the Deep is, it's an Abyss of humanity dregs, deep waters is a metaphor
The sky and cosmos are one
Great bodies of water serve as bulwarks guarding sleep
Oceans above, skies below

Twice I have been at the edge of consciousness while underwater. Once it was by relaxation so utter that I dozed beneath the surface. I dreamed I was being carried in a flowing yet protective embrace of perfect silk. The silk was a deep blue that lightened and turned green as it did. Then it turned yellow, and finally bright warning red. I remembered at that point that I was underwater. I surfaced for a breath still extremely relaxed.
