about 11pm, i was sitting outside the ER with my youngest sister, chit-chatting, trying to get her mind off her injuries. i see a man in a blue shirt start approaching us and my "hackles" raise, i stay calm and show no sign of emotion on my face, trying to acknowledge him with my sight while continuing to speak to my sister. as he gets closer he looks to be deciding whether to head straight for the door or walk past us first. as i assure myself no harm will come to us, he shifts drastically and comes towards us. he does not stop walking, simply says "how are you?" i answer, "good, and how are you?" feeling genuine relief and safety, smiling. he says something i can't hear and then says "nice that SOMEBODY would ask". he then goes through the sliding doors of the emergency room entrance and does not come back out the entire time my sister and i stay there. he looked homeless and not hurt in any way, i don't know where he went once he got inside. but he was a good soul, and he did not harm us.

Didn't think of asking about campus security, might be difficult since her office is off campus but it's not too far so can't hurt to ask. When my mom was in her early 20s she used to work at a hospital at the edge of the city. One night, she had just finished her shift and when to the bus stop to wait for her taxi since it was too late at night for busses. There was a gypsy woman there who approached her, and asked for a cigarette, and while my mom was apprehensive she gave her one. The woman took it and looked at her sadly and "Shame, you're such a nice girl, your mother in law is going to give you hell." and then proceeded to predict every major event in my mom's life.

In my dad's side of the family it's hereditary. Everyone can see the future one way or another, but most of us, including myself get prophetic dreams.

Tests can be pretty useless when it comes to premonitions because most people can't control what they predict. Sometimes things come to them, other times, they do not. May sound extremely fucking convenient to you, but that's the way it works. Are there people who are better than that, and can actually predict on demand, probably, yeah. But the homeless man two blocks down probably isn't that good.
