Are people more afraid of the unknown being explained than the unknown itself?
I ask this because it seems like most people that I have known or interacted with love the mystery and awesomeness of the unknown, even if it does scare them to a certain point, but are uncomforable with the idea of someone explaining the unknown.
People are by far more afraid of the unknown being explained, as science has expanded, the realm of whichever gods they worshiped has contracted.... Ignorance is bliss.
