Trump is corrupt, always was corrupt and I doubt he'll have a change of heart at his age. There was nothing to compromise, he's a selfish oligarch whose intention it was to make money off of the american people for himself and his cronies while veering the country closer towards a dictatorship to make it easier to control. His end goals are money and power at the expense of the lower and middle class.
