I actually have a question for once. I've probably made a grand total of 10 posts in the last 2 years.
You know how a lot of people on here are looking to "ascend", or at least experience OBEs and shit? So the basic goal is to withdraw from life on this planet, which is a goal I can get behind, since it's shit.
But consider tulpas. Not only are there plenty of people that can vouch for their existence, but also a few who claim that it can control body movements with practice. Some are scared that the switch in places can be permanent.
So like, isn't that basically the same thing? If you create a tulpa, then let it take over your life whenever, can't you just be alone with your own thoughts for the rest of your life, just enjoying the scenery without any emotional attachement to it? Just wonderin'.
Theoretically it makes sense. I would love to test it out, but there are severe consequences to something like that.

Well yeah, like literally losing your life. But again, isn't that the same goal of Buddhist masters and occultists and whatnot? Isn't that kind of sacrifice worth it?
