Which deity is the most effective when it comes to prayer? Who

Jesus.

I just create my own deities. Recently I printed out a porn star and stated to pray to her daily, asking that she grant me my wishes.

To date, no luck.

But I have great faith in my new goddess Peggy Tittyphuck

I would say that's definitely not true. One of the biggest issues a lot of Christians have (and a common misunderstanding about prayer in general) is that they don't really understand the purpose of prayer. Prayer is not you asking the divine for favors. The purpose of prayer is to both seek forgiveness of your sins, thank God for what you have and honestly a time to ruminate. Whether you do ask for an intercession or merely use the time to essentially meditate is up to you, of course, but praying isn't about asking for something. It's about taking time to speak directly to God, most importantly to ask for forgiveness and to thank them.

Sorry for this sincere Christfag answer, but if you're looking for a deity that will be effective (in other words, the idea of praying is supposed to give you a material benefit) you'd be better off with, shit I don't know, some Pagan god or something.

By creating your own deity you are merely using a mental trick to concentrate your own power to create your own reality. You project love, faith, devotion to a picture of any person you wish. When it happens, then you'll know. Honor this deity. Pray to it. Ask it to give you what you desire.

Don't do what these anons say about creating a deity. Sure you can create one, but you will always have some disbelief in the back of your mind. You won't be able to buy into your own creation. Instead, choose one that is already popular or even somewhat obscure, as long as its been worshiped by many people.The more fully fleshed out they are the better.

Personally, I pray to the divine feminie goddess as Kali or Shakti.
