Is there really something more than ice there?

I am pretty sure there is.. there were suppostedly ""real"" images of pyramids half covered in ice there, but whatevs.

The interesting thing is that it was indeed probably a jungle thousands of years ago but in the same time when homo sapiens already existed. Maybe we wouldnt find annunaki secret base but some things are pretty much possible such as
> remains of never mentioned before civilisation
> remains of animals thats we ve never seen before
> prehistoric virus that will wipe out half of us
Etc.

I hope I ll live to the day when it melts down conpletely so we can see for sure.

The reality is more mundane yet horrifying then people well acknowledge.

Sure it has uranium, oil and coal. Shows that our understanding of continental drift isn't complete. But likely it's just Project Ice Worm 2.0. There be nukes in the there ice sheets.
>>
The continents split before civilizations could build there. They would have traveled to Antarctica while it was still frozen.

Dinosaurs lived 230 to 65 million years ago and the continents began to split 175 million years ago. The first civilizations were 3200 B.C.

Anyone who traveled to Antarctica to form a civilization would be popsicles.

My father told me that back in the 1970's a few researchers were stationed there and one of his buddies, a biochemist, was given the chance to fly out with them for a few months.

The weirdest experience that he relates is that on the first night there, everyone was working well into the night when there was a ringing noise coming from the exterior of their outpost, almost like the sound when you circle your finger around the rim of a wine glass, but if that was under the doppler effect, so it's like a high pitched note that dips and fades.

The next second, the few researchers who were outside had come in through the front door and just waited by the entrance.
I should point out that the exterior of the base was monitored by a single point man who relayed the outside conditions to the rest of the team at the start of every briefing. This is the interaction that my father claims happened:

> Head Researcher: Seems a bit cold tonight.
> Point Man: Best to wait it out inside, then.
> Head Researcher: Yes. Seemed to blow in from the north.
> Point Man: I'll pass it along.

The Point Man would then leave the room while the researchers remained inside to warm up, he would appear 10 minutes later or so with the following:

> Point Man: Seems to have died down now.
> Head Researcher: Yes. We should continue.

And then they would depart, back out into the howling wind.
The odd thing was the speech seemed so stilted and unnatural, almost as if it were rehearsed. Things got suspicious when the next day a similar event happened. Right after the unsettling noise was heard outside of the base, the researchers came back in and waited, this was their interaction this time:

> Head Researcher: Seems a bit cold tonight.
> Point Man: Best to wait it out inside, then.
> Head Researcher: Yes. Seemed to blow in from the west.
> Point Man: I'll pass it along.

>>
>>19459471

They all waited for the Point Man to come back while my fathers biochemist friend was noting the similarity from the previous day.
Sure enough, when the Point man returned:

> Point Man: Seems to have died down now.
> Head Researcher: Yes. We should continue.

This series of events continued for a week, every single time the noise would herald the arrival of the researchers, and each time they would exchange planned banter with the Point Man - it really didn't sit well with the biochemist.

There was one noted change that he told my father, about a month into working. The ringing noise seemed extremely close, the lights in the outpost even seemed to flicker as it hummed overhead. The door burst open immediately as four researchers practically stumbled over themselves, but they gained composure quickly.

> Head Researcher: S-seems a bit cold tonight.
> Point Man: Best to wait it out inside, then.
> Head Researcher: Yes. Seemed to blow in from overhead.
> Point Man: I'll pass it along.

They all exchanged nervous glances as they waited for the Point Man to return, he did almost immediately.

> Point Man: Too cold to work tonight.
> Head Researcher: Yes. We should stop.

After that night, they seemed to work in shorter shifts, and once the ringing noise stopped happening, the researchers stopped coming inside the base.
When the Freedom of Information Act passed, the events that occurred at the outpost were all marked as destroyed for anyone attempting to research it - it was the only outpost that had its documents and public completely purged following this event.

I won't speculate, but I will give you the intriguing bare facts. The Nazis sent an expedition to Antarctica in the 1930s, the idea of Herman Goering and Rudolf Hess. There was a medal struck up and it was reported in the media, and the prosaic official motivations for the expedition are public knowledge (whaling possibilties, weather stations etc.)

In preparation for the expedition, Nazi Germany was advised by Admiral Richard Byrd, an antarctic specialist. He visited Hamburg in 1938. After the return of the expedition and some perfunctory newsreels the Nazis go silent on Antarctica.

In 1946 the USA undertakes an expedition to Antarctica under Operation High Jump, accompanied by a large naval force (including an aircraft carrier), and one Admiral Byrd - officially 4000 personnel.

On his return, Byrd is interviewed by a Chilean newspaper, where he warns America could be attacked by planes from the polar regions in the event of another war.

This isn't even speaking of the amount of senior politicians, religious figures, and European royalty who are interested in the region.

>"... Strangely enough theres left in the world today: an area as big as the U.S. thats never been seen by a human being, and thats beyond the pole on the other side of the south pole from middle america - and I think its quite astonishing that there should be an area as big as that unexplored." Admiral Richard Byrd

https://youtu.be/czW0iRJuH1A?t=75

Byrd also talks about how there is "... enough coal to power the world for centuries. Also lots of uranium."

They also found petrified wood in Antarctica. Is it possible there is more outside of what we think we know?

>The first civilizations were 3200 B.C.

I for one, would like to know why, not matter what satellite imaging service you use, google maps, google earth, mapbox, they all blur out the arctic and antarctic coast line where the ice sheets begin to form. mean while, zoom into the middle of the ocean, the amazon rain forest or a mountain in in the middle Antarctica, and you can get high res/dpi images for many much more remote regions than coast lines of the poles.

Does anyone know of an alternative satellite / geographic imaging service other than google or mapbox?
Or even better, a service with images that are updated daily / fairly regularly, maybe a paid service like this?

so far i have found only this:
rammb.cira.colostate.edu/ramsdis/online/
very high res satellite images full disc / region locked shots, new images added every 15 minutes i believe, and only the last month or so are kept available there.

Pic related is a small crop of northern polar region from a much larger full disc image taken many many months ago. In the Sea of Okhotsk, there appears to be an ice sheet larger than the Korean peninsula between Kamchatka Krai and Mainland Russia. Keep in mind, the Kamchatka Peninsula is not even in the Arctic circle.

there are a range of odd things that live in antarticas waters. the ice itself holds a record of atmospheric composition and density so layers of ice formed over time allow you to get a read on this through a large slice of time thats pre human

there is a collaborative military base with russia and america and the brits and french. they dont want people snooping around because they are all colluding against the rest of the world with faggy dreams of conquest

but they were to cocky and examples have been made of many people. 100% of the penguins have been contaminated with something that causes a degenerative disorder in humans if you eat them. you know what every western world leader does when he visits the base for the first time? eats a fucking penguin. you know what every uber rich / celeb does when they are invited to the base for the first time? eats a penguin

ohh I know this one! Google "gimball lock". The gyroscopes used to calculate tilt get stuck if they are tilted at specific angles, so you have to fidget around the angles they would get stuck at.
>>
>>19461791
Latitude limitations in aircraft have to do with the navigation system aligning itself with sufficient accuracy. They rely on sensing Earth rotation and establishing latitude. The nearer you get to the Poles, the more of a problem it becomes. If you consider a horizontal gyroscope at the equator, it will very quickly sense a tipping force as the Earth rotates. At the Poles, the tipping force will not be there, the Earth's rotation will be masked by the motion of the gyroscope wheel itself.

Antarctica's ice itself serves as an integral piece of the world's largest neutrino telescope. That's a cool fact about Antarctica's current purpose. There's unexplored regions, yes. They are unexplored because exploring Antarctica is a dangerous task. You better know what you're looking for before you explore. There are likely resources, but mining them would be a pain. There's over a mile of ice to break through to get to anything. The cost of even the largest gem or precious metal reserve might barely cover the cost to actually get it out of the ground.

Now, in 2048, the treaty banning mining will come to an end if 3/4th of the parties agree to a regulatory system.

The Americans thought there was enough of a threat to send a large combined arms fleet to Antarctica, before the dust had even settled on Hitler's (non-existent) corpse. It's not a wild idea - consider how long some of the Japanese held out after the war. Consider, also, that the Nazi party never surrendered.

This isn't to say that the Nazis still exist, but to say that the USA believed there could still be Nazi secrets in Antarctica in 1946/7.

>This isn't to say that the Nazis still exist
The German National Socialist Worker's party never went away; it went underground and changed its strategy.

Thanks to the success of Russia in preventing Germany's invasion, Communism became a popular idea around the world, and the 'displacement' of many NAZI Germans spread people with the Socialist mindset throughout the world.

Socialism does not work to gain power in a lifetime, but over generations.

The EU conquered Europe, the way Hitler wanted to, through a different means. The idea of national sovereignty is being whittled away there.

They are taxing the top 1% of earners into having a so-called fair income, which Hitler attempted.

The US is being pressured to join this mindset. So are many other nations.

No: The NAZI party never went away. It is back, under new names, and it is quite successful in its endeavors.

Well, this area deserves it's own thread, but it's hard to resist speculating on this topic. While I'm not certain of the post-war Nazi status, it's reasonable to think that there was an extra-territorial Nazi presence in places like Argentina, which isn't comparatively far from Antarctica. This presence would surely include scientists who were not hoovered up by Operation Paperclip - people with the knowhow to build advanced aircraft, like Werner Von Braun helped NASA.

It is interesting that UFO sightings increase drastically in the immediate aftermath of WW2. Perhaps some of these were engineered by Nazis operating from South America (Peron's Argentina) or the poles (re Admiral Byrd's warning that in the next war planes would attack from the polar regions)

Under this hypothosis, which some would say is fanciful, Roswell 1947 is a Nazi black project...

they'll find global warming hoax.

what I don't get is that we have had "ice ages", even a small one not SO LONG AGO. So, in normality Antartica would be ice-free.

I don't think there would be German UFO's, underground bases, aliens or all that. Probably civilization artificats. And hopefully scripture.

What phases me most would be history, as we have some sort of amnisia of our own past and origins. It's been lost in time, as most of our modern knowledge comes from the translated works from the Ancient greek societies, which we retrieved back in the crusades. (the Islamic world USED to be an intellectual hub and they translated all those texts to Arabic. But while they turned their backs to sciences, the Western world ate up the knowledge they brought back.)

But, considering that history, our society is nog even a few thousand years, a tiny spec on all of human culture and history.

I remember a few years back during the global warming hype when I was digging into the polar ice caps melting and the evidence of temperature anomalies. Anyway I recall reading that the ice measurements conducted on Antarctica had unexplained data, which suggested gigantic air pockets had formed in the ice structures, but at sizes much larger than what would be expected from recent melting. So naturally they did sonar and reflection tests and shit to map subterranean features, and found weird geometric data, but no conclusion or further research was done as it was only in limited areas.

>ard to resist speculating on this topic. While I'm not certain of the post-war Nazi status, it's reasonable to think that there was an extra-territorial Nazi presence in places like Argentina, which isn't comparatively far from Antarctica. This presence would surely include scientists who were not hoovered u

I once saw a German documentary about Germans using energy that "wasn't destructive" to create anti-gravity machines and UFO's, it showed even a museum where they explain and showcase this principle. There is much speculation about German ufo's and documentaries about this, so I couldn't find it back unfortunately.

It's not crazy to assume that the scientists that got "unlimited resources to invent new weapons" did someting with the tech they have developed during the war.

Hitler was anything but a globalist, and the EU advocates for nothing else. Definitely don't think the EU is a successor state to Nazi Germany, as much as I wish it were.

Probably some primordial alien organisms hidden under the ice

That's why the Nazis were so interested in both it and the North Pole

Any scripture yielded from Antarctica would be from the culture who are the basis of the Atlantean myth.

My suspicion is any antediluvian civ would have ended up in Egypt, informing their astronomy, navigation, and religion.

I don't think the data would be released publicly anyway; not without a long and steady drip of media to soften us up to the idea.

The Nazis were doing a lot of research and development at Auschwitz where IG Farben had an advanced works; officially a synthetic rubber plant, while others suggest they were developing black projects here while utilising slave labour; the fabled 'bell/glucken' object that used a new form of propulsion. This is probably what the doc was talking about. The bell itself, if actual, would be a UFO. If anybody could rustle up something like that, it would be the people who invented the Komet and ME-262.
