True, it requires reflection and self awareness. A candle in the dark paired with conversation helps people get past the first hurdle going down that path.

Like people "took the red pill and left the blue pilled life behind" in order to just start seeing the world for the ways many on 4chan do,(which is still a process long after you "Take the pill") a candle can help break the "limbo spell" people seem to stuck in and initiate them into the process of achieving enlightenment
