Something stronger than the stone that held it still. A crack was formed in the permafrost, the birthed thing seeped out of it.
It was dead, lifeless by all scientific definitions. Its seep was based on mathematical architecture. The positive and negative magnetic charges that hold all atoms together was what kept it going.
There was no way to stop it. No governments or superheroes. No vaccines or antivenom could be made. It was a void in reality, an opposite that consumed anything that it touched.
