Anybody ever hear of the 'Ianus Project' (or some variant of the name)? I was on a forum some time back where this came up, but I could never find anything else on since. From what I remember, it was an underwater nuclear research facility made by the soviets. Apparently it didn't work, and the story is that info on it was burried to ovoid embarrassment.

there were a bunch of those, and they all failed because of shitty soviet steel, and quality control of welding and the piss poor workmanship on the concrete castings, and the very concrete itself being so substandard you wouldnt use it for a miniputt course in iowa in the mid 70's..
