Has anyone else found they've been remembering their dreams more?

As long as I can remember, I would recall about 8-15 dreams a year, and most of those I wouldn't even really remember that vividly. Maybe ~5 a year that I could actually remember considerable amounts of/not just fleeting images.

Since mid-July, I've been remembering 60%+ of my dreams. I've made no lifestyle changes whatsoever in the past 2 years. I eat a (mostly) paleo diet, smoke weed everyday (which I always attributed to the lack of dreams I remembered) and drink about 3 times a month. The only way I can really describe it is that it's almost as though a switch has been "flipped" in my brain and I can now remember my dreams. I turn 25 in October, so I doubt it's a developing brain thing.

The only thing out of the ordinary in the weeks leading up to mid-July was I took a 5-day camping trip July 3-8. I know the pineal gland affects dreaming, and I've never really been one to believe in the whole "city living calcifies your pineal gland" meme, but could this have an affect on one's dreaming?

Has anyone else been experiencing a major influx in the amount of dreams they remember over the past month or so?

No.

Paleo diet is linked with degenerative mental illness though so that's probably it.

You might just be a fucking idiot. How do you not remember your dreams?

>go to sleep
>dream
>wake up
>remember dream

i never remember my dreams i have no clue what i have dreamt about or if i even dream at all. im envious of people that lucid dream and stuff i wanna do that but its never worked
>>
Actually, yes. I've had intense memorable dreams for a few weeks now. But two people is hardly a substantial statistic. I don't think it bears any significance

Naw m8, gotta smoke the dreams away, namsayin?

Some people wall off their dreams harder. The better you are at repressing, at ignoring things you don't want to acknowledge, the worse you're going to be at recalling your dreams.

Thanks anon, this actually helps put things into perspective

I can usually only remember my dreams after i take naps, for some reason those dreams are usually way more vivid, and i can remember everything about them. If im actually sleeping through i cant remember much, but sometimes i can

You're dumb. A lot of people (including me) have poor dream recall where they just don't remember dreams. Every night, I experience nothing. I just go to sleep and wake up, no dreams. I'll be lucky if I can even remember 1 dream in the entire month

Maybe it is. Brains take about 25 years to mature, so perhaps you're right on schedule.
