What are /x/ toughts on the mouse utopia experiments?
>>
It's retarded and unscientific to generalize that to humans. It reveals an incompetency at empathetic reasoning. A very common one, sadly, especially on /x/. This is not a board with people who have safe, sane boundaries with other people, nor with their own concepts of truth and fiction.
>>

Does the things that happen to the mice don't happen in human society?

He's wrong, humans aren't mouses. Were' HUMANS,we have consciousness,we have emotions,we have abstract thought, all these things has influences in our social-train of thought and our social environment.Mouses don't have all that things, they only listen to their instincts.

We need to stop of think that ANIMALS and HUMANS are equal.

It shows the experiment of John calhoun done by creating an overpopulation of rats, by eliminating predators, exposure to viruses, but at the same time confining them.

He developed a theory called behavioural sink.

>>19439876
We react similiar to the same ambiental circumstances, we feel cold and heat the same, we react to pain the same etc...

The experiment it's valid cause that's exactly what we see in human populations.

Overpopulated cities have all this problems while an amish community has not.

>We react similiar to the same ambiental circumstances, we feel cold and heat the same, we react to pain the same etc...
So basic similarities in nervous system responses = humans are identical to mice when it comes to social behaviour? Neck yourself, you brainlet.
>>
>>19439927
Not identical, but we react.

Overpopulation affect us just like it does them, but we create social institutions to solve it, then instead of looking at each other all day we create confined spaces, but those confined spaces have their own issues.

And that still doesn't solves the root of the problem.
>>
>>19437855
thanks anon, been looking for this for a while

I think us as larger mammals are in the beautiful-ones phase with the rise of NEETs and alt-right ideology since those are talor made to scare off women and stop population growth
>>

>we have emotions
Have you not had pets before or something?
>>
>>19437855
More to do with crowding stress than resource abundance imqho
>>
>>19440585
let's don't have emotions
they have survival instincts, and humans have bred relatable behaviors into these animals over thousands of years
a dog doesn't get sad, or angry, or happy. it does what it was bred to do so that it can remain part of the "pack" and eat that day

we only project our emotions onto tail wagging or drooping ears because we want to connect to the animals and breed them to do it

outside of the human factor animals simply react for comfort and survival and emotions as we know them have nothing to do with it
>>
>>19440616
>a dog doesn't get sad, or angry, or happy

Lmao I'll take that as a no

You really think emotions are 100% unique to humans? Why would that be the case?

We trick ourselves into distinction ourselves from animals by saying all this crap about emotions and civilization. We delude ourselves into forgetting that deep down we are all stupid animals and its only hubris that leads you to think otherwise
>>19440616
Chimpanzees and Bonobos come from the same species. They were separated by a river. One one side of the river there was an abundance of food(bonobos). Other side scarcity (chimps). When ever the bonobos have a dispute the just fuck and everything is alright. They also have high rates of homosexuality. The chimps on the other hand are ruthless towards one another and typically gang up and kill for stupid shit. They act this why purely out of emotion.
Elephants pause at the site of an elephant skull and appear to mourn.
When farmers take calves away from the mothers the cows moo incessantly for the whole night.
Killer whales develop psychotic tendencies when enclosed.
Blah blah blah. Saying animals have no emotions is just ignorant.
>>
>female mice refused to reproduce
>women REFUSE to reproduce
Yeah its retarded

Many animals including rodents have been shown again and again to exhibit empathy.

Pretty much, turns out that empathy isn't such a sophisticated function of the brain, for animals to not have it.

He was just too wary to feed and didn't see it as a threat or capable of escaping
