How can meaning not exist if we seek it?
Isn't that kinda like being thirsty when there is no such thing as water.

Its all nonsense anon
there is a deeper meaning but we are not evolved enough to understand it. It's also incredibly personal.
Want to know? Ask God.
It is certainly possible to seek something and have the sought after thing or idea not exist. The universe is under no obligation to explain itself to you.

You seek meaning because the alternative would have been weeded out by evolution long ago at a very very early stage probably before anything even close to resembling a primate existed.
Once you think about it it's really quite obvious so I don't have to go into too much detail, but just imagine 2 animals. One with an inherent sense of meaning in everything around it and another who completely just lacks a sense of meaning (of course we're talking about their completely healthy and natural states of mind, not depression or anything, but a true lack of any sense of meaning whatsoever at a fundamental level)
You can imagine all sorts of scenarios in which the first creature will survive while the later will die off. In fact the very act of reproduction will also be much less likely to happen for the second creature even if he survives long enough
So the mere fact that having a sense of urgency in life, meaning, or viewing things as absolutely "important" doesn't imply that these concepts are natural and deep aspects of reality.
We just have them because we wouldn't be alive if we didn't. That's it.
