i've watched the NightMind explanation video and read shit online but still, can ANYONE explain why madison phases through the floor? i can accept all the weird and irrational things that happens in all of the the extra footage/audio, but this part is where the story completely loses me.
and i don't want to hear "it's le metaphor", maybe it is but that doesn't explain how a security camera managed to pick it up when everything else it picks up is physical and not supernatural.

True I got lost at that part but the whole thing is kinda weird, I just resorted to it being cuz
>this house has people in it
meaning the house absorbs people and causes weird shit
All I can imagine is a metaphor. The whole show is a metaphor. Why are you trying to take it literally?
It's a a look at how normies won't actually dig in and help others/family members. They would much rather bitch about the problem, and gain attention for having someone with a problem as a perk in their life.

I like this one

sounds like a old outer limits show a house was alive and it fed on people. it was a old abandon house had one weakness alcohol killed it so it could not kill the drunk teens it adsorbed people

because it's the only part of the story that can't be explained. i understand the whole show is an abstract metaphor but this is the only part that can't be physically explained. even after sifting through all of the supplemental material, which all points to lynx not being real, and then the finale bringing in a metaphysical aspect out of nowhere.
don't get me wrong, i like it either way. it just kinda irks me i guess that you can draw logical conclusions to just about everything except the final scene.

could be. the problem is that the short plays like an ARG where you have 2+ hours worth of additional info to sift through, most of which just makes it even more confusing.
honestly, all the extra stuff feels like a big red herring or just things to get you more aquainted with the characters and isn't meant to directly affect the outcome. and the lynx disease shit is just alan resnick's bizarre sense of humor.

I'm lost too. It was probably just to shock and confuse people watching television late at night in order to wake them up a little bit, and think about the show in more context.
Wasn't this on Adult Swim? Lmao, weren't they the people that made that freaky sunshine picture that had mechanical screeching and kids singing and shit that suddenly played super loud at like 4 in the morning, just to fuck with people who might have fallen asleep with their TV's on.

yeah it aired at about 4am. alan resnick, the creator, also made alantutorial, unedited footage of a bear and some other fake infomercials for adult swim. all of which have a pretty cohesive, even if absurd and bizarre, plot that can have a logical conclusion.
as much as i enjoy this short, i think it is just a bit too bloated and not as well thought out as the others.

Too Many Cooks is goat
Alan is pretty talented.

Yeah it's that guys art style alright.
His whole view point, including that fake infomercial about the antidepressant meds, is how people aren't focusing on the real problem. The way the husband is acting about the whole ordeal reminds me of my ex-girlfriends parents. When she used to do drugs in highschool, her dad would just always say "you're embarrassing me"
It was never actually about his own daughter. Just his self image.
