What is so fascinating about the possibility of monstrous sea creatures?
>>
>>19388716
Because the ocean is so unexplored and vast, filled with things that are strange and interesting. Big sea monsters are just a continuation of this interest. Just as we like to fantasize about scary space aliens because of the unknown nature of space, we like to project our fear of the unknown in every place like that
>caves
>woods
>space
>ocean
>abandoned places
>>

People never think of the stuff they can't see either. All that is just the tip of the iceburg.
>>
>>19388716
yeah, I mean what is so fascinating about an unknown mystery...

As we see in this picture the Skeleton ends abruptly, making another argument for its artificial making

Aswell for the fact it grows organically
>>
It's because the oceans are pretty much the only place in basically the entire known universe that is still mostly unexplored, yet physically very close to us.

Thalassophobia is a very common phobia, and must people have it because they are scared of whats underneath them while out in the ocean. People are scared of legitimate threats such as sharks or killer whales, but could also be just as afraid as to what their imaginations are conjuring up. A huge amorphous beast with tentacles and razor sharp claws could be just a real a creature in the ocean as a shark or whale, there are stranger fauna in the ocean like the blob fish which doesn't even look like it should be alive.

Dolphins are more dangerous than Sharks, the fuckers "try to save humans" so push them to the closest shore, by hitting their ribs which causes internal bleeding and major organ damage.

In other words, the fuckers kill you and everyone acts as if they were heroes.
>>
>>19390879
Dolphins are also rapists.
>>
>>19388716
Imagine being the guy/group of bros that kills a huge, mysterious monster! You would be legendary for generations.
>>
>>19391360
And then in 100 years people would say it's fake.
>>
>>19391372
Maybe not, we're living in an age were almost everything is documented incredibly well. Besides, anything that bad ass would be talked about for years and then news stations would report the 25th anniversary of the leviathan being slew.

Damn, I didn't know I wanted to kill a sea monster this badly.
>>
>>19390577
Man I love this image

"This is definitely a huge skeleton"
"This similar looking thing nearby is probably nothing"

So I took a second year Geography class as an elective that focused a lot on glaciers.

All of these type of pictures are textbook examples of normal glacier behaviour. You're basically just looking at flowing ice and moraines.
>>
>>19390548
Ship wakes.
>>
>>19388716
The issue that I see is that creatures, no matter how massive, living deep beneath the surface of the ocean would have evolved to exist in that particular part of the ocean. Taking it out of that environment - away from the massive pressure, the absolute darkness and cold would likely kill it.
>>
why are you fags obssesed with size? there's monsters already if you actually look for them
>>
>>19395401
But giant squid get washed up all the time. If a human did what they did they would explode yet the parts that wash up are intact.
>>
Prob because we are usually in awe of such large, unknown things. Like the Sea, Space, Skyscrapers.
