I have a question about dreams.
A lot of people, not just on /x/ but people in general, seem to have dreams that are coherent stories with a narrative. Weird nonsensical things might happen, but it's still a linear narrative and everything.
I can't recall ever having a dream like that. My dreams are choppy and disconnected. There's never any story. It's just a weird jumbled up mess of of things happening that don't make any sense. I might be in the woods and then the next thing I know all the sudden I'm in a downtown apartment with some friend who apparently I have known for years or something. I don't question it during the dream. It seems normal.

My question is why don't I have coherent dreams like everyone else
My dreams always feel like separated narrative sections and I can only make sense out of them after waking up.
I always dream of weird shit that makes no sense put together like characters that constantly transform into others and I 'know' about logics and stuff inside the dream that never make a jolt of sense.
I literally just woke up from something weird as shit, my girlfriend seemed to have been giving birth to some disgusting insect thing and I couldn't even wake up, but I knew it was a dream (or wasn't it?)
It all depends on what are dreams, really. separated alternative events, different realities or just random information about memories? the latter explains unrelated random shit a lot better, though less fun.
My dreams are more coherent than most people's because I am imtolerant of shitty dream logic and less willing than most to "go with the flow" when stupid shit is going down around me.

So a few things:
-You dream multiple times a night every night
-If you remember one dream you are likely to remember the rest
-they are usually totally disjointed
-your brain will try to rationalize the dream(s) as you wake up

this
at the most I can recall having dreams in similar 'worlds', but thats as far as it goes
I don't usually come around here, but all the dreams I've had have happened in my real life.
nothing fancy though, just life events.
