It's a rare psychological condition where people are afraid of mirrors.

Or drugs. If it's a one time thing probably drugs.
>>
Some people believe that a mirror is a window into another world.
>>
I used to do it because horror movies always made them scary, let's not overthink this animals.
>>
I think i just found out that my brother uses drugs

Sun glare.

Because he probably killed someone and hid the body. If you don't cover the mirrors in the house when there's a dead person there, their spirit get trapped in the mirror.

^THIS^
Many people feel it's (psychically or spiritually) dangerous to have uncovered mirrors. I've felt this my whole life, but it only really bothers me if the mirror is large and in the room I sleep in. My parent's guest room has the WHOLE CLOSET doors as a mirror. You can ride an army of ghosts, ghouls, and spectres through that frikin' giant portal. They get mad at me because when I house sit I take the closet doors off and put them on backwards so the mirror faces INTO the closet. I just tell them "free house sitting" so STFU.

Another thing is that mirrors can sometimes show the TRUE nature of something. Glamour spells that affect the brain, sometimes don't work when looking at something in a mirror, because mirror images are processed through a DIFFERENT part of the brain. Sometimes a person under a glamour will avoid mirrors to avoid seeing things (including oneself) as they really are.

He could also just be irrationally paranoid from drugs or mental illness.

Tell me more about this. I never felt anything weird about mirrors, should I fear them?

there's nothing to fear in mirrors, they've been seen as liminal places a boundary between this worls and the unseen world. which is why they've been a part of magickal / occult traditions forever.

I think the portal part is more psychological. If you BELIEVE a mirror is a portal, then it BECOMES a portal.

I had this exact same thing when I was doing magic work. I made a "door" on my wall with thick yarn and pushpins for meditation. But when not using it, I either covered it, or took it apart. You never make a door and then just leave it open.

Once you've made gateways like this, it's hard NOT to think of mirrors as portals. They get their power from YOU and your belief, hence why mirrors in a sleeping room are especially dangerous.

Nigga it's clearly at a slight angle. You wouldn't see his reflection at the angle it's at.

Because he knows your coming over and he doesn't want you to find out your fugly...

Other than that the superstition explanation and/or drug use would be the most plausible.

Is he into the occult or new age?

He's a tranny and can't stand to look at his current body.

Ah, weak self image and derangement, the source of trannies.

Maybe he's just a pussy faggot who's afraid of mirrors?

Wasn't there an old murder case where an entire family was slaughtered by an unknown person in their home who ate breakfast, washed the blood off in the kitchen and covered all the mirrors in the house and left? Those are the only details I remember from reading about it, but the post mentioned the superstition of covering mirrors after somebody dies.
>>
I don't even have mirrors in my house. WELL just the one in the bathroom for when I shave. Mirrors are shit for body confidence reasons. Mirrors never capture the true essence of yourself as you only see blah blah I forgot the rest

There was this really great short movie from something called amazing stories i saw as a kid where some guy sees a monster standing behind him and about to attack him every time he looks into a reflection.
Near the end he is going mad but some lady friend calms him down and he looks in her eyes while kissing her and the monster finally kills him.

Later on i found out it was directed by martin scorseseof all people

>>19325064
I used to do this. In the dark, mirrors distort how a room looks and makes it seem foreign. Tough sleeping in unfamiliar places. Used to cover picture frames as well.
>>
>>19325064
he owe mirror master money but aint finna pay
