The ritual was to make the reflection symbolize the life you want. In that world you have it. Really disassociate from the reflection. Anyway it was a black shadow due to lighting. Then will yourself to trade places with it. It got real intense energetically. The shadow moved on its own and the energy rush plus the wtf factor ko'd me. Then the next morning a crazy chain reaction happened that lead to my desire.

You're asking the wrong question. For most people, the largest part of their "me" is a collection of habits and semi-arbitrary preferences. You can lose / alter / rearrange a lot of that without actually hurting who you are any. It happens constantly throughout the course of one's life, often painlessly.

You're thinking "my shadow isn't me" or "did I get myself possessed?", but if you're able to ask the question then you still clearly have free will. So you're still a you. What you need to do is take as close to an objective look at yourself as you're capable of, and then ask yourself whether you like what you see. Not whether you recognize it, which you will.
