>you walk at night
>you see a UFO
>there are 2 beautiful fairy-like women under it
>They wave to you and invite you to go inside the UFO
Do you go inside? There are two possibilities. You enter a paradise where they massively extend your lifespan and let you be a god in simulated virtual realities.
Or they extend your life span and torture you for centuries every day, because that's what their religion is all about or something.
What do?

Neither sounds pleasant. If those are my only two options, I turn and walk away.
>>19224137
Sorry I didn't make it clear. There is a 50/50 chance that one of those 2 options happens. You can't choose. You have to take a risk.
Also what exactly about the first option doesn't appeal to you? They extend your life span, but you can still die any time you want, totally painless. And in the simulations you can even simulate your life as it is right now and tweak it to your liking.

I still refuse to take the chance.
And the first option is unappealing because I would grow lax, and arrogant. We're not designed to have flawless, perfect lives. I could never simulate something naturally challenging, either.
I might be just a small, weak (relatively) human, but I'm happy with dealing with that.
It's certainly more pleasant than excess torture.
Humanity is in constant pursuit of perfection and happiness, but once we achieve that, there's nothing left to do but self-destruct. Being 'given' that opportunity would nullify any benefits, and so I'd die anyways.
To summarize, I suppose I'll always be much happier as a lowly human, dealing with life and the universe as what I am intended to be in the first place, than either get fucked over for near-eternity or end up dying almost instantly when faced with self-destructive perfection.
>>19224125
Even if they were fucking terrifying. I would. Cold fear. Maybe I'm already there.
>>19224125
hell no stupid
>>19224125
If anything sounds like bait, it's that scenario
Youre cancer
>>19224125
two intergalactic babes show up and invite me into their spaceship
of course i'm gonna go
>>19224335
Time to get revenge for all those years of probing am I right
>>19224125
Turn and walk away.
>>19226071
Turn 360° and walk away.
Maybe this has already happened and that homeless crazy ranting person you see on the street is the result of a time warp where thousands of years passed while they were being tortured but really only maybe a year passed on earth. Those homeless people aren't arguing with other voices in their head. Their arguing with their past self not to go into the spaceship.......FYI Id totally do it
You see, this is where empathy/telepathy comes into play. You have to be perceptive to their auras, and see if they're telling the truth or not. Be THAT good.
Alien here. We don't even have the ability to not die. We've made it to where we can keep in tact for what you guys would consider 700 years. As an alien I would take the two alien females on a craggy.
>>19228497
what if they just receptive anus's?
>>19228545
We don't have anuses. We have a slit for a mouth like feature and behind or head in the middle of our kneck is a secretion gland that pulses and at certain times we must pull the fluid.
I wouldn't go. Assuming their intelligence is superior to humans then they should know that lust is one of our flaws. They're using sexual appeal to lure me into their ships. I'll notice what they're doing and run away from them.
I'd totally go.
>>19224125
Sure. Anything is better than this eternal suffering.
At worst, death. At best hot alien orgie.
Win-win
>>19224125
id just rape them
>>19224125
If you they were actually aliens you wouldn't be scared in the slightest if they were actually targeting you.
>>19224125
Have you seen what the world looks like lately? heck how about any point in time of human history? id get in that ship and fly it the fk out of this nuthouse.
>>19224125
I roll a d20 and attempt to communicate with the two beings in my line of sight.
>>19224125
I would go all the way.
Never say no to the opportunity to go where few men have gone before. It's like fucking a lesbian, you have to cherish the opportunity regardless of the end result.
>>19224125
whip out gun
kill
money

What about the torture?
You ever played The Sims? They might care as much about your pain as we care about the pain of video game characters. For me the risk would be too big.
Something is fishy about the fact that they give you a choice. They could easily kidnap you and give you either heaven or hell against your will, but the fact that they let you choose... hmm... I don't know.
