All throughout the day I've been falling into what I can only call "stasis", or maybe a trance. I could be writing an email or talking to my friends, and with no obvious cause I phase out, stop hearing, almost enter a meditative state.

Really? This is the first and only time its happened, and today I feel fine and it's not happening anymore.
Also I should probably add that those trances only lasted around 1 to 4 seconds each, and when I was with people they didn't seem to notice.
