there's not a perfect consensus, for the obvious reason that some non-zero percentage (possibly 100%) of these stories are made up bullshit we pass around on /x/.

but there is a little bit of a consensus, and this infographic does a good job laying shit out.

i've never seen anything like this myself so i couldn't tell you with any confidence if any of it's real or if none of it is. the world is an odd place and it's good to keep an open mind, but this is 4chan so it's probably best to assume everything is horseshit until proven otherwise.

for this one i didn't save a screenshot but i copy-pasted the text into an email to my buddies so i have the text as follows (not my story):

It's dark. I can't find any trace of her. Cameras show noone getting to the car, noone getting out of it. I call her phone just in case. Nothing. Call my boss, explain what happened. Get sworn at, call the cops. Make a report. Start driving back.
