Downstairs hallway of Glenn Dale's children's ward. This was probably the most silent place I've ever been in. There was a classroom with books scattered all over the floor - mostly all ruined - and on each end of the basement there were two stages covered with graffiti and Christian pamphlets.

That orb is probably dust, but my buddy swears it was a ghost.

Full frontal of the children's building at Glenn Dale. Took some friends. One ended up breaking her ankle jumping out a window, and one was scared shitless after hearing glass break behind him.

Story behind that one is that (as dumb kids) we had brought a Ouija board and a "ghost hunting phone app" into the basement of the children's hospital. After silence on the board, we tried the app. We asked if anyone was there, and the machine replied "SCARED." A second later, some glass shattered in the empty room space behind us, and off he went.

As they ran, I cursed (not anything magical, just simply spewing insults and obscenities) whatever spirit bullshit may be there, and ran after them.

The girl broke her ankle trying to jump out a window after her boyfriend. The whole "I'll catch you" thing didn't work out so well.

I left out a whole in one of the door barricades, and we dipped out in my old beater car at the time.

After dropping them off, I felt like there were eyes on the back of my head the whole way home. I can't tell you how many times I checked the rear view mirror expecting to see some fucked up face.

And, since it seems like I'm essentially posting for myself, I'll continue on with more as the night goes on.

There's an underground tunnel system that goes between the adult and children's hospital - completely flooded. A few of my friends and I decided to explore the tunnels (waterproof boots and all) and we came across the morgue of the children's ward. The water in front of the door was completely frozen (in the middle of May, mind you) and walking in was like entering another plane. The whole room smelled like rot.

Unfortunately, I don't have pics of that spot - too concerned about dropping my phone into the muck. So, have a picture of one of the only remaining mattresses in the place.

This and the subsequent two posts are some of the things I wanted to show off.

Quick rundown is that this was my first visit to the Glenn Dale with some friends. This series of pictures was taken in the basement of one of the nurse's houses in the complex outside the children's hospital.
Taken on an old iPod camera, *click* *click* *click*, done.
For over a year, I thought it was just a stupid photo op with my buddy posed on an old bike he found in the basement.
Then, I saw the thing in the top left.

It's probably just something wrong with the camera, and with bad lighting, but everyone I've showed it to was weirded out, if not simply interested.

The "demon scalpel." There are many stories behind it, but the most compelling one is when I tried to gift it to my cousin. I gave it to him in a ziplock bag and said that it gave off weird vibes. He said that since he had it, it gave him nightmares of being strangled to death. Three days in, the bag was torn open from the bottom with no scalpel.

I found it on my desk a week later.
He refuses to come over unless I hide it somewhere.

I was compelled to dig in the rubble. The moment I found it, I felt drawn to it. Like something with power. It had more brown on it than it does now - like a petina of dried blood.
A few days after I brought it home, I started to smell sulfur around my bed. I couldn't sleep easily, and it felt like something was sharing my bed with me (a head next to mine on the pillow). These feelings stopped after a while, but only after I saged the house.

I may have to abandon this thread, as I've had too many shots from that medicine cup, but I hope you guys have had fun. I certainly feel like I've given back to a board that I've enjoyed (mostly) for many years. If you all want any more stories, I have some that go back to age 8.

Maybe it's just how shitty /x/ has been lately, but this has been the comfiest thread I've witnessed on /x/.

It take's me back to my middle school/highschool years of my and friends exploring creepy looking places, visiting "haunted" locations, and just generally messing around and trying to spook ourselves out and have fun.
