Cambodia.
The Killing Fields are haunted as hell, and in many areas you'll still see teeth and bone fragments in the dirt. The countryside is full of creepy abandoned temples from the Khmer Empire, which is itself a mystery. Nobody knows for sure how they made their riches nor how and why they collapsed, even the Cambodians. The empire also built these giant artificial water projects all over the country that have no currently known purpose. The populace is extremely superstitious, and the magical rituals they believe in and practice are some Lovecraft tier shit. See "kun krak" or "smoke children" for some of the worst.

A simple Google search shows it isn't nearly as mysterious as you make it out to be and there is a lot of information.

Tibet by far. Egypt, Greece, Israel has ancient stuff hidden for sure. India is for sure up there. Also I would say Europe with Russia are today at the forefront of researching parapsychology and other "supernatural" phenomena. That being said US and Israel might be further dont know thou

Ireland or Romania. Both countries have very superstitious people and their ancient mythology and old religions are very paranormal.
Ireland has a shitton of ghosts, fairies, and spooky shit.

And let's not forget the oni (goblins, ogres, demons). There's something really fascinating about roadside shrines, too.
