I wont to find that movie that gives you the feeling of vulnerability like your in the movie yourself
Literary be scared
I haven't watched movie like that in a long time

Darkness Falls?
The Exorcist, depending on your beliefs.
In the book, there's a whole backstory about the demon being summoned by a caretaker in the house. In the movie, however, the demon just shows up one day. Scared the fuck out of me as a kid that a demon could just pick me to possess.

The Fourth Kind was easily the most horrifying movie for me.
I watched it a few years ago, but that aliens could come down and experiment on ANYBODY and practically ruin your mental health and life scared me to death. Still haven't finished it. At least watch the scene where the guy levitates off his bed. Holy fucking horror.
Session 9 is a great atmospheric spooky movie with few (if any) jump scares. Highly recommend.
I'd say try Fire in the Sky (1993), which is known for its goddamn terrifying alien abduction scene, or The Nightmare (2015), which is a documentary about sleep paralysis
The Changeling is pretty good

the 1980 one... Not sure if there is a remake
>>19137963
this. i watched it in the theatre then spent the night at a friends house. i slept alone downstairs and was wide awake thinking of how terrifying this movie was. then the vacuum cleaner decided it was high time to fall over out of the fucking blue. prolly the biggest scare of my life.
>>19138422
good movie too, the build up as he goes thru the session tapes and finally meets the personality the other ones were trying to hide.
>>19137680
Martyrs, not the remake.
I personally liked V/H/S but I like cheesy...
Guinea Pig films, a lot of Japanese horror actually.

Why is /x/ such pussies?

What do you suggest?
Only movie that scared me was The Blair Witch, and that's only because I live in a rural area and I watched it alone at night while I was 12 or 13.
>>19140354
Always those movies that scare you, then you watch them again and think they were retarded.
The Thing is one of earliest movies that I remember that scared me, it doesn't anymore but I cherish that movie still.
>>19137749
this.
Movies about diseases scare me but I'm nosophobic and if that's not a word, I'm coining it.
So I guess you gotta think what are you afraid of in real life? I mean really afraid of.
Not like zombies and aliens and vampires and shit because we know that shit don't exist.
Go watch a movie that has something like that.

The taking of deborah logan is one of my favourites
Not because it was scary but because it was interesting it kept my focus on it the whole time
That's what newer movies are lacking
Thay are copying ichoder with the same simplistic story then add a few jump scares and iths somehow a good movie lol
Grave Encounters is what you are looking for.

I fucking love the movies vith mental asylums and hospitals
Thay have that unique creepy vibe
>>19140330
I haven't found one that's worth suggesting for actual horror, more for the concept or cinematography
>>19137816
Darkness Falls is good. Creepier than you think.

Anguish a movie about a girl watching a movie in a theater while a killer is in the theater killing people watching the movie.
The Shining

INLAND EMPIRE
Watch the descent.
Uber Scary
>>19137963
Great movie.
Seems real. 3:33 3:33 3:33

The first one was definitely a good movie, lame cgi aside. The feeling of being trapped in that asylum and the claustrophobia of the endless hallways work well to draw you into the story.
>>19137691
that movie is fucking retarded, are you 12 years old? jump scares are not actually scary
>>19143995
YES
How come no one listed Jacobs ladder is underrated or something, what about the ABC of death 1, 2, 2.5, rip 3 cause they didnt make enough money
CREEP is pretty good, it's super low budget but defo makes you feel vulnerable as fuck. Won't say any more but it really is worth a watch.
>>19137680
Its not a movie, but you should watch an episode of a series black mirror, called playtest, it's scary as fuck
The Hitcher.
Rutger Hauer at his finest.
>>19139025
>martyrs
Good choice. I know very few movies but this seriously scared me. First for the splatting scenes, then for the fear of being trapped and tortured with no possibility to escape or kill myself.
>>19139035
This movie is shit
