Hi /x/, can you give me an example of a sigil?
I know about writing the sentence out and taking away the vowels and repeating consonants.
Bump, I just try and make the remaining letters into a symbol, but I don't know if I'm doing it right.
Þisne ásæge ic :
Ýmb þára Móda Módum þæs brytengrúndes
Séo wyrd þurhdrífeð á þára Móda Módum
Ós þurhdrífeð ælcuht

There are many ways to make sigils. Read Austin Osman Spare and Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa. Ape has their works in the /omg/ mega library
All sigil means is symbol.
All making a sigil is is drawing a symbol of your desire. That's all there is to it. This type of magic is predicated on the idea that drawing a symbol of your desire creates an effect. How you explain this philosophically is irrelevant.

You're not. You're thinking the symbol is the important thing when it's incidental. The intention it signifies is what's useful.
Short version, you're taking a phrase, compacting it down into a unique new letter, and focusing on that. Because the ordinariness of the formatting of the original phrase gets tangled in your conscious mind.
