There seems to be a lot of stories on /x/ about monsters and spooky shit from Native American mythology, and encounters with Native American shamans and shit. I'm assuming it's because most of the board is American. Has anyone encountered some crazy shit from stuff other than NA myth, or had interesting talks with shamans/wise men/whatever from other ethnic or indigenous groups?
>>
I'm native American, been to ceremonies and stuff. Never had anything weird happen. Except your paranormal stuff. During summer I see skin Walker running around at night. See them staring at me sometimes when I'm on the porch smoking a cigarette. That's about it though.
>>
Im hispanic and ive heard la llorona a couple of times
>>
>>19118515
I have. My friends and I were having a get together at my lodge in the mountains (parents rich af). Having a good time, pulled a prank on everyone and was gonna upload it. Long story short we were attacked by the fucking Wendigo and it's too long to greentext.
>>
If you actually did some research into Native American mythology you'd know they're not into spoop shit.
>>
>>19119578
Are you kidding me?
dudes in the res are mad into the occult and satanism.
Mostly for le edge, but they do enjoy scary shit.
I knew several people who lamented the fact that many families dedicated their children to satan upon birth.

very hardcore shit, man.
I
>>
>>19119006
Yea. Only that minor shit. No biggie.
>>
I was always told don't mess with the northern lights by whistling and shit or else they'd come down and smother you. I also had a relative who told me they had little men living in their house who would always fuck with them unless they left a sugar bowl out. I've never seen no damn little men though, I think that would be kind of cool.
>>
>>19119607
Which rez was this?
I've experienced similar fucked up shit out in north Arizona
>>
>>19120274
Sells and also northern arizona actually.
also page, safford and kingman.
Utah and New Mexico seem to have similar issues.
Guess that's what happens when people get raised on Slayer

Tell it faggot
>>
>>19118515
Yeah, most of the people who post those wendigo greentexts don't know jack shit about Native American mythology. The deer-headed wendigo is a modern idea, the wendigo in old legends was almost always a starving frostbitten giant with a normal head.

I was born and raised in oklahoma, I lived by the old cherokee capital.
I never really heard any scary stories or legends from around there, just a few ghost stories.

I may have heard about the wendigo from people I knew irl, but the extent the story went was it's a big bad evil spirit thing and it's bad luck to even think about/talk about.
That, and I heard a story about little people that would come to your house and ask for things/favors, I don't remember the rest of the legend so idk what you're supposed to do if you see them.

>that's pretty much it, I hadn't even heard of skinwalkers until /x/ started talking about them about 3 years ago

I will say though, I moved to a different area of oklahoma (poteau), and I heard some pretty crazy stories about a town called heavener.
>>
>>19120455
more?

I don't have the exact specifics of all the spooky shit that goes on there, but here's what I know.
>the majority of the town is methheads
>the heavener runestones are pretty creepy and maybe haunted
>people dissappear in the woods all the time around the runestones and in the areas around the town
>nearly every year, a student at the school dies suddenly or mysteriously
>it's generally a shitty place to live

If anyone else knows any stories and shit about that part of oklahoma I'd like to hear them.
>>
>>19120499
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oklahoma_runestones
>>
>>19120537
Yeah, pretty much that. Also heavener has one cool thing going for it, it has some sort of art/community project where they have some deer in a big fenced in area in the middle of town and have quarter machines with kibble to feed them.

Oh, and about 30 minutes away from poteau is spiro, and they had some Indians that built pyramid like things, we went there for a field trip back in school and it's a very interesting place with the general vibe of a giant graveyard. (It's LITERALLY an Indian burial ground)
>>
>>19119134
>According to the tradition, La Llorona is the ghost of a woman who lost her children and now cries while looking for them in the river, often causing misfortune to those who are near or hear her.
Holy shit. This sounds very similar to the banshee.
>>
>>19118515
Absolutely. I've never told my story on /X/ before, actually I'm quite new, I've just been lurking. This whole story happened while I was living in Japan in 2015, Do you want to know the story of the 72 year old ex-(to be named) gang member who told me about his experience meeting the devil?
>>
>>19121105

Yeah go for it.
>>
Okay, so I've never done this before. But here it goes. I was living in Yokohama, staying in a friend's place.
>They were out of town and it literally lined up perfectly with my visit.
Long time friends, and I've stayed with them before so they just told me to watch their place. Little place in an apartment complex.
>>
>>19119543

greentext that shit faggot
>>
>They had a neighbor, Sazaki-San
>Really old fella, he was 72, and absolutely had the most cold stare I've ever encountered.
>We visit a few times in the general smoking area, where, like clockwork at 2 A.M. he would leave his apartment and go downstairs to the smoking area.
>>
>Naturally, because it's a smoking place the door is heavy and the vents you have to turn on are kinda loud. So anyone who goes there at night makes a bit of a racket for the apartment above them.
That was us.
>>
>I spend a few weeks talking with him, getting closer, he tells me about his late wife, their 3 sons, ect.
>Naturally, I ask. Why are you living alone?
> His answer, was because his work showed them a man that he was not.
>>
>A little creepy, but I'm a fag so I'm all in super curious about the story.
>I continue to ask, and he tells me that his sons have "cursed" him (in a emotional sense) and that his wife would never have him.
>I HAVE TO KNOW
>I just say fuck it and have to ask WHAT he was doing.
>He told me he worked for a "great and powerful organization" that deals in the black market.
>>
>I ask him "What kind of things on the black market" How did you get involved in this.
>He tells me that in his early 20s he worked for a gang and that the leader of that gang got involved in the drug trade, and for 10 years or so he was in deep with that. Later they formed a partnership with another group moving everything from slaves to firearms, to priceless items.
>They were indeed very powerful.
>>
>THIS is where things get scary.
>He tells me about the man that replaces his first boss.
>Looks to be in his 40s or so, in his words a "father aged man" but with no children to speak of.
>By this time Sazaki-San already has 3 boys.
>Makes a great living, ect.
>One day is visited by this man- or rather his wife and sons are. He has no clue how he learned of his family but being the head of such an organization, it makes sense.
>Regardless, he comes home to see an odd Men in Black style car outside, well made, large luxurious car escorted by two others.
>>
>He calmly approaches the door of his home only to be greeted by his wife and his employer.
>He is stunned, after all he had only seen the man a handful of times.
>He bows, tells him that he is welcome and his employer jokes.
>>
>That he is welcome as well.
>It is an odd sentiment but it's his boss, so it is "funny"
>They all sit down and drink some tea discussing basic things, how long have they lived there, if they have children (indeed they do, but they are fast asleep that time of night)
>The man asks to see them.
>>
>Sazaki - "See my children?" "They really are nothing special, you know."
> The Black Man - "Yes, I will see them now."
>He is a little frightened but he walks them into the back room where his 3 sons share a room.
>The man tells him that he should be a proud man, to have such a beautiful wife and "healthy" sons, The word he used was strange, you don't really describe people as "Healthy" they way you do in English. So it catches him as even more unnerving.
>At this point the man is starting to understand what is going on.
>This is a threat, because he is to be brought on to work for the man closer.
>>
>The man leaves shortly after and Sazaki speaks with his wife about the visit.
>She asks exactly who he has brought into their home.
>He explains it was a surprise and that he had no clue he would visit.
>BUT SHE PRESSES HIM WITH THIS QUESTION
>He had mis-heard her, she did not ask "Who" they brought she had asked "What"
"What have you brought into our home."
>The night ends on that note, Sazaki tells his wife to calm down and that he is nothing to be feared, "a stern businessman" is all.
>>
>They round off their day, retire to their bedroom and the next morning Sazaki leaves for work.
>His wife starts to notice suspicious activity, becoming more paranoid.
>She starts to keep the curtains closed more often than not. Doesn't keep windows open, ect.
>Claims she keeps seeing the man. In the corner of her eye, around the house, ect.
- Now, this is where the first night of us really talking comes to a close so I don't know much about the details of the next day.
>>
So I'll take an intermission and grab a drink downstairs. Anybody have questions?
>>
>>19120360

If I have to.
I hate it though and its usually a mad waste of money and gas. lost a lot of things to that fucking desert.
most of the people I know are dead, made money and moved on or got too deep in the drug shit and cut all ties. literally only hung around for a cosplayer I was tryna smash in the end, but her personality was bollocks.

Haha. It's cool. Shit man. I see them all the time here. I don't see the person in the skins like my mom. I just see them running around. They move hella fast. And like I said before, I see them staring at me from time to time. They just sit and stare.
>>
>>19124169
After seeing them for so long I just kinda got use to it, when I was younger I use to be hella scared of em. But now that I'm older, I could careless about em. They can witch me all they want. Ima die sooner or later ya know? Sometimes I'll get drunk and yell at them. Haha.

Plz continue. Was really good.

Also I remember an anon here a while back told a story about living in Korean countryside with a shamans family and experienced lots of paranormal folklore shit. Surely someone screen capped it or archived it. It was decent.
>>
>>19118515
Hey, in from central Europe (Slovakia) and spent whole childhood in my grand grandmas house beneath the notorious Bathory Castle (blood baroness bathing in blood of vigrings to stay young forever) in little rural village called Cachtice. A lot of spooky shit happened here and I personally had an encounter with "vilas" and "bludicka" (will-o-wisp in eng??) when I was a kid playing in the woods around the village.
Tbh its the only spoopy shit that ever happened to me and it basically made me believe in paranormal in general, but Ive greentexted it here on two occasions already with no reply so I ak not sure if people are even interested when I have no gun and the cryptids dont want to eat me and take my form. However if any1 would be interested, i can add a quick greentext recap of that story.
>>
>>19124832
To tell you the truth, they're just people who run around in skins and like to witch people. Like if they're jealous of someone or someone insulted them, they'll go and be asshole and witch em. They're really just spoopy asshole. :|
>>
>>19124885
are you kidding me, THE countess bathory?
please don't be shitting us dawg.
She's like my favorite serial killer ever

>>
>>19124885
The answer is usually to post it. Even if you don't get replies, people will still read your shit.
>>
>>19124908
Yep, that one. My grand grandma told me countless stories about her and the horrid times of her rule (which she had from her ancestors as this part of our family lived in that location for many generations). I dont remember most of them but I can share some of the most spooky/interesting stuff that I can recall, if you want. But basically what has been told pretty much align with the stuff written on internet.

>>19124910
> be kid me (9-11 yo)
> spend whole summer at grandma's as usual
> all days long I play with mostly gipsy kids from the neighborhood around in the forests and such
> we have this favorite game of "Bathory", which is basically a forest version of hide and seek but you can still run away and hide again if the "Bathory" person sees you but isnt able to catch you
> ofc kids get split into little groups and finding a good spot to hide
> I got left with some gipsy boy, a bit younger than me
> it was getting dark (around 9pm of summertime here I presume now) but shit it even more fun like this when you cant see a lot
> gipsy parents dont really give a shit about their children at all but I was told to come back before the sun sets (usual agreement)

Cont.
>>
>>19124977

> we find a good hiding spot but the little fucker wont stop talking so ofc we are discovered soon
> run for it anon!!!
> we start running as if a killer is after us (considering the nature of the game and us being kids, we pretty much took it seriously back then)
> run for i dont know how long to a part of the forest that Im not familiar with at all
> only me and the kid left, no signs of the pursuer or any other kids
> we slow down but notice something in a small meadow/clearing towards us
> four literally most beautiful women ive ever seen dance in circle dressed in white and flowers while humming the most out of this world melody ive ever heard
> we hide and watch them
> suddenly I start getting really dizzy, like when you didnt get enough sleep and kinda fall asleep in the morning without being able to do anything about it
> eventually I blacked out
> wake up in pitch darkness
> no gipsy kid around, i am all alone in the night in woods which I dont know
> panic attack and literally pissed myself
> kid logic kicked in = castle is up the hill, village down the hill, so i ll go down
> walk for about an half an hour, nothing of scenery changed
> atartig to get desperate and suddenly see a small light within the forest few hundered meters away
> omg a house?
> start moving towards it
> it doesnt get any closer at all
> however eventually get to the castle road from where I knew my way home
> came home at around 5am
> police already searching the whole village looking for me
> grounded for the rest of the summer
> still happier than ever to make it home finally

To this day I got no idea if the women in forest were really some cryptids or just some younr village girls performing some pagan ritual, but the whole scsnery looked very much like out of this world.
I askedmy grandma about the light and she told me theyre called bludickas and basically lure the evil people to their deaths and help the innocent ones to find their way out of forest.
>>
>>19125005
Sorry if not spooky enough, but I swaer it all happened pretty much like this and changed my view towards the paranormal forever.

In my beliefs, beautiful women of the forest and sea who sing are known as Sirens, they have a beautiful enchanting voice and can cause love, misfortune or hypnosis to men who listen to them
Their counterparts are Banshee, who warn of the death of someone with pained screams and wailing.
Places with a lot of death and forests tend to attract these types of entities/spirits.
