Between the Buried and Me is my all time favorite band. I play music too as well. We just got done doing two covers of some Soundgarden stuff my with best friend in memory of Chris. Knocked out Blackhole Sun and Outshined because a lot of their stuff is in Open C and I don't feel like learning to play in the format. Added an image of my setup at home for fun if anyone plays guitar. For recording we use my buddies Axe FX, much easier than micing shit.

The sad thing however is I 27 and getting old mentally. The only thing I jam in the car now is NPR and I'm not even left leaning which makes even less sense.

My friend is Aleister Crowley.

maudlin of the Well, which later became Kayo Dot. Very /x/ related band.

The former is heavily inspired by a spirit the two main members (main composer and performer Toby Driver and lyricist and former harsh vocalist Jason Byron) met in a house as kids. Jason delved deep into the occult which is reflected in the lyrics. They also embedded a secret message in the double album Bath and Leaving Your Body Map that was only (mostly) uncovered recently.

Anyway, if you find that at all interesting I hope you check them out. Kayo Dot formed after motW disbanded, but took many of the same ideas forward but as matured musicians. I honestly believe they're one of the most important bands of today yet they're still barely known.

i've been layering badly-tuned WebSDR over other ambient stuff like EM from Jupiter or loops of whale songs. you can basically create your own, never heard before, never heard again spooky ambient tracks.
