>Guy wants to kill himself
>takes bus to where he wants to kill himself
>talks to old man on bus for hours
>he tells him not to do it
>he doesn't do it
>2 years later he tracks down the old man's family
>turns out the old man had died 25 years ago on the bus (heart attack)
>was wearing the clothes he died in
>old man's widow nearly faints because the guy calls her 'doody', only the old man called her doody

you are viewing this from the standpoint that he tracked down the family.

He's a fat larpdog
obvious explanation: suicidal guy and, if needed, the old widow are lying. we want to believe it's something more interesting than that, but it's pretty simple.
less obvious explanations: complete coincidence. two old guys with similar names / appearance. suicidal guy and old widow are freaked out by the possibility and their minds fill in whatever gaps they need to fill in to make them seem "identical" rather than "similar".
less likely: psychic flashback caused by impending suicidal trauma. guy thinks he's talking to a ghost but it's really a conversation with his own subconscious and the energy in the air ... or whatever.
the /x/ explanation: the whole thing is a disinfo op perpetrated by our reptilian overlords. they want us to believe in ghosts so it's easier to trade little boys for pizza on hillary clinton's payroll. for some reason the best strategy they could come up with was to pretend to be a dead old man on a bus. also, anyone and everyone who disagrees with me for any reason whatsoever obviously collects a government paycheck in exchange for pretending to be a troll on a message board full of trolls, because our reptilian overlords know the most dangerous organization on earth is 4chan.
It was Agent Smith preventing yet another unplugging
