Just had the scariest experience of my life.

I was walking back home from work along with a colleague when we spotted this creature by the side of the street. It was under a streetlamp so we could easily see it and didn't dare to go close to it, we might have missed it otherwise. The quality of the photos I took are very poor as we were pretty far away and it was dark outside. I'm genuinely fucking scared, this thing was right next to my house.

The creature was just standing over there moving its arms. It was creating weird crunching sounds, similar to that of a plastic bottle getting crushed.

We stood afar for a while and then slowly began to go around it from a distance. I'm still shaking from this experience. I have no clue what it is.
>>
>>19044209
Eh,what's he gonna do? Just lock your doors and have a weapon near your bedside. Always remember during paranormal times of crisis, the evil feed on our fear and it only makes them stronger.
>>
>>19044226
>>19044229

I'm just really freaked out. Is this an alien? Is it some cryptid? What is this thing?

There has never been anything like this in the area I live in.

It seemed to have turned towards us a bit so we ran
>>

I don't think I'm going to go back to that place while it's still dark.
Also, what are the chances it's still there?
>>
I'll try to enhance the photo's I'll be back in a moment.
>>
>>19044248

It's a dark picture of a praying mantis. You should have stuck with the first two photos and gone with a verbal description, this one ruins it.

Next LARP.

did it make any noise? how was the creature movement?

i study animals and i've seen my share of strange... i honestly tell you it doesn't seem harmful... don't use lights near it though... it might be moved by them...

i would honestly man up and pick a friend to check it out...

godspeed anon if that be a real creature there... might be an intresting turn of events... where is that by the way?

I once heard a story of a man sized pray mantis before it lived in a swamp.
>>
>>19044376

what you have heard means little or nothing...

i am talking about things i have seen... there's a difference...
>>
>>19044368
I already described the sound it made. Now that people mention it, it did seem like a mantis. There are many mantises here. It stood mostly stationary but moved its arms every now and then.

I am not going to look for it, at least not at the moment.

if it is a mantis or an insect, it's harmless no matter the size...

if you're not going back there you are just a pussy and, real or not, i am disapointed...

this year i woke up with tarantulas on my bed at least 3 times and i hate those things... man the fuck up anon...

plus, big insects are more than possible... even extremly large ones... i've been with dogs as big as horses in the past... animal abnormal growth is not that strange and you're missing an opportunity to get some gold/win if you actually manage to film the creature and/or find out whre it says...

mantis are not territorial creatures, and it needs to breed... just follow it... you're the most dangerous creature on the planet after all...

No mantis can grow up to this size.

yeah, all goliath spiders are all the size of a plate but i have been with one that was almost 50cm leg to leg spreaded out...

it looks like a mantis... if it is anything related to, it's a bug... and by the look and description it's actually just a big bug...

so we've come up to 2 points:

a) OP mans up and tries to help us out how to help him out (something im starting to consider rather dumb from us)

b) OP pussies out (nothing new either)

either way i was just curious and trying to help OP... i've seen weirder and stranger with my own eyes to care about a giant mantis...

It is physically impossible for insects to get that large, they will literally suffocate because of the weight of their carapace. Not to mention the metabolic problems especially a mantis would face.
This, coupled with how the mantis is in exactly the same position in every picture, clearly shows this is fake and is just an RP.

Of course those kike "scientists" say that, because they're getting payed millions of dollars to do so. The truth is the shadow government doesn't want you to know about giant hominid-like insects that inhabit our sewer systems and come out at night to eat the homeless... Ever wonder why you can't find a job these days? It's because the kikes in charge need to keep the insectoids sated will ample human flesh, no one cares about homeless...

anon, i used to breed and raise chinese mantis for fun and let me tell you...

a mantis that size would definately try to eat a person. they attack things many times their size and their mouth parts work like buzz saws... those claws alone could probably sever a limb.

i dont need to point out the mechanical limitations of a big that big but they do exist as fossils...

>second brain located in abdomen
>short life span, lays eggs in fall then dies
>can hold completely still, relies on ambush to hunt
>has five eyes in head, has several light sensitive "eyes" all over its body
>rears up like pic related when angry/in danger

if you are used to breed animals and you made the proper re-search, you would know that size is an important factor in any living creature condition and constitution.

an animal, the larger it gets, becomes less aggressive and suffers from more from the physiognomy than it's smaller counter parts...

if the creature was to be aggressive, i highly doubt OP would have a calm encounter with it...

... and i used to handle all sort of highly venomous creatures, i have to know this stuff 100% accuratly to be able to "predict" their actions
>>
there are people who claim they have seen mantis extraterrestrials

mantis don't pursue prey, they wait until it comes within their strike range

OPs encounter seems pretty much spot on of mantis behavior
