Certainly the type XXI u-boats were able to cover a distance of 630km submerged. So removing torpedoes and extra weight, maybe they could reach the cave.
However 500m depth is lol no. Most subs at that age couldn't go below 200m.

Apparently they pumped Ethanol between the submarine shells to make it dive deeper. Not sure how plausible that is and Google isn't of much use. My opinion on the map is not clear, it might be fake, it might be real. I'd like some russian historian having a look at the SMERSH file.

Those are questions far beyond what I know, I can only make guesses. IMO they are aware of us and might be responsible for most UFOs, but do not want to openly contact us until we're ready. They were the first to breach the bunker and "report" on the burnt remains of a couple inside. Could've been anyone, no such thing as DNA...although they could do today if they have a sample and kept some the original I suppose. But since no announcement of that, well that leaves it an open case they probably escaped.
