Kind of this. We are "3rd dimensional" but what we see around us is 2 dimensional. We only see shapes in 2D, but because there is shading and light, we can understand how things have depth and are not flat. Let's say for example someone throws a ball at you. You aren't seeing a sphere. You're seeing a circle getting bigger. The only reason you know it's a sphere is because of its shading/shadow based on a light source. If we were 4 dimensional, we would see the world in the 3rd dimension. (Seeing all sides of something at one time but also understanding it's 4th dimensional extensions).
