So essentially to sum it up easily; a small white suburban kid from a safe city in Southern California gets sent to become an adult in an upper midwestern town that has been adversely affected by a flood and an oil boom, both bringing in money and therefore workers from out of state (desperate people), which leads to meth, crime and hard drugs. As for people, I overthink things and see things almost autisticly it seems, not to mention I'm naturally introverted.

I do have trouble understanding how most people are happy with how they live. Me and my close groups of friends in Cali would often talk about these things in detail, and it seems people here for the most part just work, drink beer, smoke, reproduce, and die. An awfully boring and tame existence that sounds more like slavery to me in comparison to my wild adventures in Highschool.
Do be aware that I don't like marijuana at all, I also fail to understand how people commit many of the crimes that they do, how they morally justify being lazy asses or screwing over others.
